About this creation

This is the reference-pic from an computergame - also it lacks the laser- and ionguns.

This Alphaclass XG-1 Starwing is an tribute to Krispijn Scholte, who built also an magnificant LDD-Starwing. Originally i only wanted to add some colour to Mr.Scholte's model, but after ldding again, nearly everthing changed to an own design. But mostly it is an minifig-scale-PC-game-style-gunboat, too.

After discussing with Krispijn, if the engines have to be built in the mainbody ( SW-comicbook-style) or into the missileboxes ( PC-Game-Style), i decided to attach it to both.

clean bottom ( please forgive the negative-stud wing-undersides)

each box has six levers for firing the six missiles - this was an must for playability!

Landingmode

I don't know how imperial-gunboat-pilots look like, so let an Tie-pilot seat in the cockpit, with natural leather interior.

P.S.
This was only an short intermezzo, I am building an classic space pocket moc in real at the moment, and i am just trying to find different sets to be made out of the 99 Bricks, so be curious what comes next.

Your Viper has been built but I am waiting for some of the correct elements to arrive before I take any photos of it. Wow, can't believe you finaly made it, must have been real hard work to find solutions for the bricks, that are not avaiable. Soon i will present some real models, several sets are growing at the moment. And: I joined an huge project in my hometown ( huge lego city-landscape).

Tee Hee... I love this! It's a tad bigger than my Star Wing and that allows for some awesome color decoration in Lego (rather than my put-a-sticker-on-it-solution)! I really like what you've done with the wings too (that little angle before it meets the missilepod).
