The European Union´s Main Battle Tank Leopard 3A1 was introduced in 2024. Since the early production, the Leopard 3 features composite armor spray painted with various camo schemes, smoke launchers and an auto loading electrothermal-chemical 120mm cannon, which is also capable of long range mortar support. Additionally the most recent version, Leopard 3A2, features one of the most advanced active countermeasure systems to destroy a limited amount of incoming enemy projectiles outside of explosion range.
