The Shark Fighter Carrier
This ship is the first I made way more different than my other destroyers. This is a hangarship with 1 squadron of 6 Styxx Vipers. The concept is still the same, with a big spaceship in a big starfleet. It took me 3 months to complete, working from the nose to the back. It's made from a technic frame and is very solid a balanced. The shape is made with rings of click-hinges and then connected to the frame on both sides. I think it contains 10000 pcs, but I'm not sure (lost count within 5 min.)I hope You all enjoy my spaceship and please take time to rate and comment. Thanks:-)
About this creation

A close view of a Styxx Viper in the end of the hangar tunnel. The idea was my own, untill I saw a episode from BSG.

A close view of the grille exhaust on the angled engine sections. I snug in some old classic space slopes for a nostalgic moment.

Here a view of the laser turrets. Instead of making the barrels round i made them 2x2 sized, using containers with axlehole inside. They have all installed LED lights from lifelites inside the barrels and is connected underneath the turrets. They work perfectly:-)

I side view of the bridge. The shape is inspired from Daniel Jassims Hurricane. On each side i have "written" the model number of the ship, as Lego did at their own models.

The engines with trans neon burn effect.

A long side view of the ship, giving You a sense of the size.

Top front view of the ship, showing details and greebles.

The ship!!

A Styxx Viper ready for take of.

Inside the belly the tunnel runs for the fighters.

The Vipers heat up their speed on these monorail tracks, bursting out the tunnel ready for combat.

The weapon control center below the bridge.

The airlock docking completely opened.

Behind the bridge the pilots are in for a short brief of next assignment.

The bridge.

Wow, that's epic! The design is very functional but still really cool. The CS colour scheme is a nice addition and the "uniforms" for the staff are a cool idea. Great job! :-))

Quoting Vladimir van Hoek Again, you have built a perfect space SHIP! There is not a single detail left untouched! The classic colour scheme, the smoothness and a finished interior makes 5 smiley faces mandatory. But, I have to criticise; move away from the familiar and try a new hull shape, it's time! You have perfected this...

Amazing!

Thank you for making my day!!! Brilliant work with spectacular, yet minimalistic detailling. It takes an amazing ammount of restraint not to over-indulge on the decorations; that is a sign of TRUE artistry! This is a masterwork that should be studied and scrutinized by anyone intending to build big just to get more Lego pieces into the picture. Awe inspiring at the most mundane level, the doorways ROCK!!! BRAVO, SIR.

Quoting Jesse Long Wow, Soren, I didn't know that you also built capital space craft, let alone nice ones like this! At any rate, if I could offer some constructive criticism, I would add four things to your vessel. The first thing is to add something like a dejarrik table element to the middle of the table in your conference/briefing room. The second thing is that I would add some doors in the front and in the back of your vessel to give it more of a realistic look. The third thing is to take lessons from other builders (though learning from Daniel Jassim and Kevin Goldman are definitely good starts) from places like LUGNET (which still exists). Finally, I would like it if you could add some small wings that are kind of curved in shape to your vessel. Sure, that might mean a few hundred more pieces but what you have here is also pretty awesome.
Thanks for the comment. As far as ideas You gave me, I have to say that I'm not into big wings, It will be too much SW. I like ti keep it streamlined. Inspiration came from Daniel Jassim and StarBlazers.

Quoting Jon B Another amazing ship Søren, this is a beauty inside and out. The grilles are fantastic, and you've got the detail/greebling level spot on. The way the front flares is fantastic - can you tell that I like this? In CS colours too :) This is a great MOC!
Thanks for the comment. The old gray quarter panels in the front is from the first millenium falcon.

my fav ship of this size is keith goldman s, the cargo containers did it for me, but, yours is second, I have seen a lot, the open dock concept is very interesting, the color scheme is my fav, the cs logos almost make me jealous, lol, but, I guess I m lucky, you have no cs sport viper like mine, I d love to see it inside that splendid ship, I can t name all the ideas I love about it, too many, refining? perhaps the cannon turrets s tubes, narrower might look better, otherwise, it s an excellent piece! congrats!

A very impressive and well thought out beast. What a brilliant touch using the quarter panels. Very creative shape and design with fantastic detail all around and the interiors are so clean and clinical. Great touch. Nice landing bay and definitely a safe place to land. Well done on a great build for 2013. Keep up the wonderful work.

Quoting Tim C This is just a beautiful build, Soren. I love that blue and light bley color combo. Interesting idea leaving the core hollow to allow for docking. Some top notch greebling on the exterior, and the interior is perfect. My favorite part is the bridge. Your builds are astounding. Have you ever thought about editing the photos and putting these beasts into space?
The idea of editing the pictures in photoshop have crossed my mind many times. But I have to be honest with You. I have no idea how to use it:-(
