About this creation
*cough* This thing on? Oh. Ok. *ehem* ...... Yeah... New MOC. So, this one came about as an idea to create a 'partner' for my previous MOC Malia. I don't think I did too bad. :)
Sorry about the bad photos though, my light source died. T~T
Javid is in many ways the physical manifestation of the term 'nomad'. He is never in one place for more than a few days. He is not hostile, unless provoked, and appears to be extensively trained in combat. He is generally thought of as kind by all who see him. Though, do not be fooled into thinking that just because he carries a shepherd's staff that he is one who guides. He is but a lost soul himself, trying to make a living in a world that is not his own, and trying to return to his own.

Standing there, looking epic with his shepherd's staff. Funny story about how that came to be

And one last pose with the staff. Alright! Now let's do some weaponless poses.

Aww, but I like my staff... O.O
Yeah, but it's time to do some weaponless poses. You can have your staff back later.
......... *sigh* fine. But can I keep the sword?
....... Alright...
Yay! :D
*sigh*

Ahh, there we are.
I miss my staff. >,<

Arms crossed. Like a boss.

Leg detail.

Chest detail.

Back detail.

Full back shot.

And back to the front.

Comparison with Malia.

Why hello there.
Oh. Hello.
*facedesk* oops... Oh well. May as well go with it now.

Standing together.

Back to back.

Action poses!

Like a boss.

Height comparison with Kesef.
.... I still feel short.
Sorry Kesef... :/

Triple action pose!

And that's the end!
Creator's Comments: Alright, I seriously loved how this one came out. It began as a self challenge, "Build Malia a partner. A complimentary MOC to her." I picked red as the base color and began building. (kind of an obvious choice. I have six of those red Rahkshi heads to use up somehow...)
I am SOOO happy with that torso! <3 I can't even tell you how happy I am with it. Especially considering it is basically just a beefed up version of Kesef's torso design. >,>
The rest of him was basically modeled to be like Malia. The only thing I really don't like on this guy are the arms. They weren't really satisfactory, but with the pieces I had left, they were all I could do.
And ahh yes, the shepherd's staff. <3 That came about after some events of last weekend, which I will not be going into detail on, (but if you were in the Jefferson Berix National Cemetery this past Saturday, you might know something of why), I found out what a useful weapon the shepherd's staff can be. I had until then, dismissed the weapon as being impractical and useless. Not anymore! Anyway, that's how that came to be.
I can't really remember if there was anything else I planned on saying, so I guess I'll cut it here.
Thanks for viewing! Bye all :)

I know right? I'm still debating whether or not to upgrade him and make him bigger, though I do like him short, it suits him. Thanks for the kind words and the fav :)

*singtone voice* Uh oh. Looks like someone's in love! *regular voice* Lol just kidding. Anyway, I think the MOC looks very cool, especially those legs! I love the design of the legs. But I think the arms are pretty good, but they need a little bit more work. All in all, a very cool MOC nonetheless. Please join Imagination Paradise. Here's the link if you're interested:

I concur, that torso is fantastic. Great use of those pistons, I can never find a good use for them myself. The shepherd's staff is also very cool, I never thought about giving that to a MOC before. On a final note I think the arms look perfectly fine. You did a good job mate!
Thanks Mac :) the pistons were more for the practical purpose of keeping him upright than for looks, but I'm glad they look good XD |

see, it's weird because I always rag on toa phosphorous for making MOCs with disproportionate body-leg ratios. However, I recently realised that I was the one who was off because my actual body quite literally has a 2:3 ratio of body to legs (when I was younger it was 1:2!). I see all of the mocs with proportions completely different from mine, and I realise that normal people have inverse proportions to mine. So in retrospect, Phos didn't deserve all of the flak I gave him, and you don't deserve the flak I would have given you. Great moc, interesting backstory (short enough for me to read for once!) and a real nice staff. keep it up.

His legs seem short in comparison to his body :/ but that torso! It looks spectacular! Honestly, I would have to take apart pretty much every moc I have just to build that thing. Curse you parts shortage! D:( But yeah, I was going to post a WIP female who also had a sheperds crook, though quite a bit smaller, but In the end I wasn't satisfied with her, and back into oblivion she went -_- Yeah, the legs were shorter than I'd have liked, but in the end I was happy with them. Glad you like the torso though :) I do know about them pieces shortages though. These three on here are (or, were, given as how Javid bit the dust last night) my only assembled MOCs. Soon though, I should have the money to get some new stuff, and then hopefully get to some better building >:) The staffs are surprisingly nice as weapons, for both MOCs and personal use lol. Shame your WIP didn't make it. :/ Oh well, thanks Terilis :)

I was thinking... Are you planning to make a race of these guys? =)
Lol, not quite. Malia came about as a self challenge to make a female humanoid that looked at least somewhat good. Javid came about as a 'partner' for her. I will probably try more humanoid forms using the flipped Rahkshi heads, but I wouldn't say that they are specifically a race XD Nice try though ;) |

Very nice, the torso is so complex, yet organized. Once again we can see a MOC with a head on diffrent angles, looking good. Plus, I must say that Malia has really strange legs, does she really stand up on those little feet? it's always a nightmare for me, making feet and legs well enough so that he stands up and doesn't do the splits :D. Malia's back is also very interesting, so is her staff, tell me wich sets did you get the parts for the staff for? The blades at the end especially, they would be really usefull. Also, when i take a closer look at Kesef i can see that we do share some ideas. a few days ago when i won a bionicle auction i got a few kg of parts and i had the same parts you had there on that shield, and i thought of using them on my ChillTank, but later i went with the snowflake part. okay i'm not gonna write much more this looks like i'm spamming :D Bye Thanks. Indeed she does stand on them. Quite well in fact. I am not sure what sets the pieces came from though, I never really pay too much attention to that as most sets last about two days before becoming part of the ever growing mass of pieces waiting to be used.

It's funny that Javid is only a few cm (I won't say more than 2) taller than Malia, sharing the same heigh on legs... And I feel like they're too short! For that minimal difference! But no, I'm wrong: it's the torso what is too big. How would I say this... Everything on this 'little' guy is awesome (I don't like the head, you already know that, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a good design), with a very worked design on each of the body: an amazing pair of legs, a great arm design, and a overwhelming torso! Dear, you don't know how amazed I am for that torso and those legs. But, when you put it all together, it's like that they don't harmonize... Even the weapons! Hmm... It's like the torso and the staff are on a different proportions than the arms, legs, sword and head. The overall build is stunning, but it looks a bit out of proportions. That's my impression, dear. I feel bad because you're improving a lot on this kind of building, and I feel like I've been complaining about your MOCs too much recently... =/ Yeah, Javid is about one stud taller than Malia. His legs however, are actually one stud shorter than hers, (something I wasn't particularly happy with, but I felt ok in the end) and your right, the torso is a bit big. The proportions are off, but I personally felt it looked ok. :) And please! Complain all you want! How will I ever get any better, if I don't know what's wrong? So, please continue to point out those details to which I am apparently blind. :)
