A while back our very own Millie, a.k.a. Lead Kat, for whom I hold in highest regards and would be honored to call a friend, was asked if she would build more sci-fi based MOCís. Her reply was that she probably would not build such items as space ships, robots, mechs and the like because (and Iím paraphrasing loosely) itís not her genre. Personally I think she would be far more successful than she gives herself credit for. In the meantime, I decided to build one for her. Of course now that I think about it, I should have created a system based robotic kitty instead! Maybe next time.
About this creation
Now for a quick look at the techie-stuff. This four armed war machine wields one large caliber laser cannon, a twin-barreled machine gun-shield and two energy sabers. This allows the unit to engage in both ranged as well as melee combat simultaneously with equal success.
Great creation! In regards to your question about building LEGO figures, I can come up with a few tips: First, is to just keep practicing and building. Try building whatever it is you want to build, and if it doesn't turn out quite right, redo it. I often have to redo certain sections of my builds 1-5 times before I like it. The beautiful thing about LEGO is that you can build, rebuild, and rebuild... so any additions or changes can be done and undone. Also, be patient with building. My smaller creations can even take me around 2-3 hours, but it is all about the end result. You can also try to replicate the techniques you notice LEGO professionals use, into your own creations. This will help a lot. If you practice, you will notice great improvement. Thanks for your question, keep building, and good luck!
