This is my first large scale US truck of LEGOs, a Kenworth K100 with Holmes 750 twin boom.
About this creation
After six months of building I finalized my first large scale US truck. As the K100 is one of my favorite trucks I wanted to have such in my collection. I disassembled my old Scania 141 tow trucks and used the bodywork and Holmes 750 for the KW. Fitted with an underlift it make the truck even more versatile. Quite some parts of the model are chrome which my mate Bricksonwheels supplied me. I had to use a lot of unconventional building techniques to get the cab into the right shape. Turning pieces upside down, building things off set etc. and without glueing anything. I already typed the full story for this model on my website. I really like your attention to detail on the old Cat V8. Looks like I could lower the cab and start it right up! |

This is INCREDIBLE! One of the best, most detailed, and beautifully built trucks ever made. The truck itself is wonderful, but that Holmes rig is a work of art! 10/10 Perfect MOC |

Thanks for the compliments everyone! I haven't thought about the likeliness with a diecast model. Looking at the pictures it could have been but I guess you won't get it in 1:13 ;-) |

Brilliant work! The use of the chrome elements, the string elements, and the custom decals really take this to the next level. If MOCpages had a "favorites" button for creations, I'd have smashed it for this MOC! ;) |

Great model mate! I have to agree with Nils, it does look more like a die cast model from a distance! 5 smiley stars! |

Wow, what a cool tow truck! The details are amazing and it looks more like a die cast scale model than like LEGO! Great job! :-)) |
