My build is basically finished its a large layout and im just putting some finishing touches on it. Im just hoping the uploader problem will be fixed before the deadline.
Hope so, too, don't have a Flickr account D: |

This is a great entry! I love the creature and your gates are excellent as well. Looks like I will have some tough competition in round 3. Good luck to you! Oh, just wondering hows your round 3 build going?
I'm still building ^^ warg and it's rider are ready, just working on the background now. I think everybody will be pretty surprised about it ;D And your entry? Very excited about it! |

Martin,
Thanks for your kind words. I commented on your first build before we were assigned to face each other that I liked the clean lines and elegance; round two continued that trend for you. I am glad to have had such a worthy opponent and that you have made it to round three. I look forward to seeing what challenge you have next- what ever it is, I'm sure you will be more than a match for it:)
Congrats, Josh |

I really thank the three judges for their comments. I'm very happy that I got the possibility to continue building for this great competition. :D |

As the others have said this was a close call. However, because you actually did the battle, and because of your clean build, I have chosen your entry. |

The closest call I've had to make...it'll be a shame to see either of you two go. Yet even though your opponent's interior was better, you gave us a well, presented, well thought out artistic masterpiece, with wickedly difficult angles, SNOT, and a creature (which in my opinion is harder than just 'brick on brick' work. So, with that in mind (although the vastness of your opponent's creation and stellar foliage we enormously impressive) your refined MOC won my vote. And at a 1-1 tie...the third judge prepares... |

Excellent! I've seen a few takes on this scene on MOCpages and I think you're right; the most I've seen of the Watcher is tentacles. This is great! The battle is well done (I wondered what Legolas and Gimli were doing) and the curved base is ingenious. The mountain and the doors are great and the Goblin cameo in the back is hilarious. "Whatcha readin?" "Goblin Monthly...some article on the plight of the Goblins back in the Second Age and the repercussions of their actions during the Nirnaeth Arnodiad." "Pshaw! You and I both know you can't read!" "I CAN READSES!!! GIVE US OUR FISH!!!" Great job and good luck in the contest!
Haha yeah :D thx for the nice comment Ryan! |

This was a very difficult call to make. I went back and forth between the two builds numerous times. While I like your rock-work a tad better, appreciate your clearer pictures, and am intrigued by your angled base and monster, Josh managed to win my vote by a narrow margin. I like all his foliage better, his Moria interior, and the spaciousness of his entry (yours was just a little too cluttered for my liking). But hold your head high! This was a very tough decision for me and things could still turn in your favor. Good luck with the other two judges! |
