Ha ha ha!! That is EXCELLENT!! I agree with David, mini-slaves are kind of happy... Maybe they are not starving and eat space-mushroms... :) The master is very well made. |

I might have some sympathy if they weren't smiling gleefully. =P They don't need sympathy, a good blaster maybe - oh no, no such thing in CS. |

What is it with those spacemen and their ever smiling faces?! Can they really be happy in a situation like this?! Oh well, I guess they were trained by the best to always keep a smile on. I love the pose their robo master is in, it gives him such life! Fantastic work David!
Thanks, careful weighting on the whip to get the pose to work. |

Their smile is irritating - or is this rather a kind of a carnival parade on the moon? ;-) Anyway great stuff.
I know how can they be that happy. |

I got a kick out of this one. When I was a kid, I remember that a lot of cartoons and comics were about heroes delivering people from tyrants. My guess is that these themes were a reflection of historic circumstances (i.e. the "free world" in contrast to the rest of the world).
Maybe that's what you're doing here - except the tyranny is not being performed by humans but by technology. Or maybe you're just having fun with legos. Either way, good stuff.
And yeah, I wish spacemen can in green too. Maybe they'll reissue one in the future (with the right chinstrap of course). |

Ah yes... thought provoking! Oh, and I always like that touch of orange! :)
I try to be playful, but look a bit closer and there is some content. ORRT is a deep ecology/green/preservationist narrative dressed up in 60's B-movie sci-fi and dinosaur films (I love the contradiction). Why shouldn't those monsters stop those spacemen sizing up Venus for a bit of asset stripping. |

pretty accurate, some and all of what you say went into the build - and of course a lot of fun. |

Mush spacemen Mush! Haha brilliant. Black and white are my faves then the blues. When I was a kid I only had red and yellows so I suppose I just wanted the ones I didn't have. I wish they made green ones. I think I have seen some green customs on flickr
I remember the yellow spacemen being released, it was so exciting to finally get another colour. I'd been collecting classic space for about three years then. When blue and black were released, it never had quite the same excitement as when yellow first arrived. |

Brilliant inspired build, I don't know how you can look your poor little spacemen in the eye! Blue was always my favourite, but I think that was because I only had one of them :)
I liked the blues as well, they just didn't sit right in blue spaceships - red and yellow on the other hand contrasted perfectly. |
