Attack on Weathertop is one of my favorite Lego sets I own. When I joined the two-week challenge micro-scale contest, I decided to do a mini-version of Weathertop!
About this creation
This build is based on the Lego set, Attack on Weathertop.

You should notice that the ground right next to the stairs is tan instead of green like the title picture. That is because I didn't want to take any pieces away from the real set.
I kept the green piece on the minifigure-scale set except for the title picture. The only other piece I used from the set was a dark green cheese slope.

I needed one more dark green cheese slope to complete my micro-scale set, but I didn't have any more, so I used one from the minifigure-scale set. See if you can spot the place from where I took the cheese slope!

First off, here are some overview pictures. I wanted to experiment with a greenish background color, let me know what you think! I didn't want that color background for the entire build, so the rest of the pictures have white backgrounds.

From here-on, the background is white.

A nice view of the staircase.

Some views of the top of the building.

Micro-build

Minifigure-scale build

For the rest of these pictures, I first have a picture of just the micro-build, then the following picture is with both sets next to each other.

The title picture once more.

Thanks for looking, God bless!

Amazing microscale MOC. The rock formations are great, really put the mountain on my micro MOC Tiny Town to shame. The stairs are probably the best part, can you post pictures of how it is done? I think I know, but others are probably wondering. Epic work!

Okay, this is neat and all (and I did give it a high rating) but 118 likes is quite over the top. This comes nowhere near your other two most popular mocs!
  December 1, 2013
I'm not going to rate, because I don't think it should be your Most Popular MOC. ... It's cool, but shouldn't have like, 118 likes. Congratz on MOTD anyways though. First time?

Quoting The Beetle I would have taken some artistic liscencing and gone studless. It would have made it lo ok cleaner. Also, there are no minifigures. I would have really liked to see a mini Nazgul. Final score (18/20)
Thanks Beetle! Yeah, I agree with the studless. But unfortunately, I don't have enough dark grey smooth elements for the top. Note to self: if you ever do a micro-scale set, put in the minifigures! haha, thanks again! Hopefully this first 2-week contest will encourage others to join the contest group and participate! :D

Origonality 5/5. I would have never thought to make a micro version of the set! Presentation 4/5. Like McLegoboy its a little crazy. Build quality 9/10. Although you were trying to make a minature version of the set, I would have taken some artistic liscencing and gone studless. It would have made it lo ok cleaner. Also, there are no minifigures. I would have really liked to see a mini Nazgul. Final score (18/20)

I return! Thanks for entering in the contest, and entering a really good entry at that! The build is wonderful, and I know what this Middle Earth location is! So let's get to giving you a score before I forget. Originality: 5/5 While we have another Middle Earth themed build and people are going crazy over it, you built a set! Fantastic idea. Presentation: 4/5 The presentation was really nice, but the overabundance of things to look at is a little much. It's nice to see a close up and see it next to the set, so it's a very hard decission on what to think about it. It helps and hurts at the same time. Build/Quality: 9/10 I love your build so much. It looks just like the set. You really paid attention to what you were building. The use of pieces is great, and evrything works. The only thing I miss is the fact that there are no minifigures. Where's Aragorn, Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin? And where are the Ring Hunters? Just some cones and studs would have been fine. Still, the build works even without them. Great job. 18/20.
