About this creation
The Contest Group.
"But cropping out of the ground, right in the path of the stream which looped itself about it, was a great rock, almost a hill of stone, like a last outpost of the distant mountains, or a huge piece cast miles into the plain by some giant among giants... There was a flat space on the top of the hill of stone and a well worn path with many steps leading down to the river...There was a little cave (a wholesome one with a pebbly floor) at the foot of the steps...Here the party gathered and discussed what was to be done." The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.

A shot of the cave

The end of the "steps" going upwards to the top (I used smooth pieces to show the path)..

Path still continuing upwards

The path that goes in the front

Quoting MCLegoboy ! Thanks for entering in the contest. I'll be expressing opinions while scoring, so let's give you the scores. Originality: 3/5 Well, people are crazy about The Hobbit right now. Presentation: 4/5 It was nice to have the excerpt from the book describing your build. Build/Quality: 5/10 Well, it's pretty not obvious what it is. I haven't read The Hobbit, and I don't remember seeing this in An Unexpected Journey, so I didn't have a clue what it really was supposed to be. Then, it's almost too detailed. You tried adding so much detail that the scale actually killes it. I don't really know what scale it is suppoed to be, I don't have a reference of a character or anything so it is a big pile of rocks to me. 12/20.
Thanks for your honest opinion! Yeah, I had like one day left to build this so I just kind of threw this together. Yeah, I agree it does look like a big pile of rocks... which is actually what it is, but anyway, thanks for your rating! (It's my first contest so I don't exactly know what the judges want). Thanks for letting me know your opinion and what judges want in the future!

Nice job! Extreme micro scale! The people would have to bee the little letters on top of a Lego stud (maybe smaller). Nice rock-work!
