About this creation
A village. A village that was. A village that could have been.
The Merchants tables lie forgotten, treasures open to whomever may come to find them.
A once busy street sits, longing, for a foot to trod upon it once more.
Houses, once occupied, and happy, lie empty, rotting for lack of care.
Sacred places often visited in days of old, are unwanted.
Statues of great men, who did great deeds, now lie crumbling, not getting the attention which is owed their creators.
Cliffs that were once scaled, enjoyed, and awed upon are now but mere trinkets, unnoticed and taken for granted.
But hope still stands. A traveler may settle in days to come. A new town spring forth. Wait and see. Patience is the key. A new life could be just a whim away, a whim away.....
Well, hope you enjoyed that little story. I wish I could have completed it even further, but the melo must take priority. (Correct, no?) Below are just a few extra pics in no particular order of different things. :) (Oh, and though you may be impressed with that hand technique - which really is ingenious, it isn't mine. The original idea, (in my case) is Flare.)

Wow David, thats great! Guess it took a lot of time!? To be perfectly honest, it only took a couple days. I did all you see in two, anyway. (I would've done it in one if I started earlier in the day)

It looks like it is missing a lot of stuff, like it's a WIP but it is great all the same. It technically is a WIP, as I never got to finish it : Thanks!

You can use this as your entry to the house town contest as it was made after the day it started. Please do so. Nate, thank you, and I would, but I made this a few months ago, it's just been collecting dust and I needed to post it as I had to tear it down. :( Thank you for the idea though!

Well, it was not bad, but it seemed pretty empty and the ground was bare. However, the rockwork was almost as good as mine so I have to give you a 3/5 bricks *hands david 3/5 bricks* *Takes 3/5 bricks* Daniel... I am both Confused that you still think your rocks are perfection, and grateful I got more than you average rating. Thank you, but as I have told you countless times, not all rocks are perfect, and everyone has their style. Thanks for the comment :)

Superb job! The detailing is great, and being a large fan of rockwork, you get two thumbs up! I really like the straw roof as well. The hands were really creative. The interior is great, as well as the exterior. I also enjoyed the statues, and the stand with the treasure underneath added a great look! Once again, great creation. Are you in my group, Castle and LOTR creations? If not, here's the link, if you want to join, or have time, feel free. I have a contest going right now, and you would be perfect to enter, being an awesome builder. http://mocpages.com/group.php/22046. Once again, superb creation!

Looking really good mate! You did a good job on the layering and blending the landscape. Do you have big plans for this? Thank you! Yes, but I would put it into the phrase 'I had' Sadly this used most of my rock pieces, so I had to tear it down in order to finish my MELO entry. :'( It was intended for a CYOA I plan on making, but I Realized I needed more houses and shops, and I lacked pieces for a lot of those. I hope I can launch my Series sometime next year, but we'll see. Thanks for the comment! |
