I believe that the “old-school” building techniques can be utilized very effectively when it comes to Japanese-inspired architecture because of its minimalism and simplicity. I really like how you structured the roof and your use of contrast in coloring. It really makes a lot of the details pop right out. Normally I'm not a fan of the exposed stud stacking method but your use of color really helps offset it and draw attention to the main shape lines.
