The Rose of Venus
A classic space cruiser. The cockpit is a nod to Crismo Giger's amazing MOCs - I saw him use the inverted cockpit like this and loved the blocky look it creates. I also wanted a ship with retractable landing gear and a rover in the back. Hope you enjoy.

excellent!! Very clever build as usual. The adding of the little buggy is very cool.

This scarlet ship reminds me of some of the Gerry Anderson creations from the 60's, especially with tis fold-down landing legs and buggy, hidden in the back.

Quoting Jon B CS in red looks great. The cockpit definitely gives the desired blocky look, it looks good. Good spot Tim, deffo qualifies as a VV :)
I wanted blocky, almost space-van feel.

Quoting Tim C You never cease to amaze, David. This is one of my favorite ships by you to date. Definitely my favorite in the mini scale. The cockpit is wonderful, and nice work on the pilot's seat. The rover is a nice feature, and great work on the working landing gear. I don't know if it was intentional, but you built a nice VV. Only a couple months behind;) Great work, David.
Do you know what it had completely passed me by that this was a VV, all that judging must have imprinted the formula somewhere in my LEGO building brain.

I can tell why it's called the rose of venus! Love the designs on this. Strangely though, my favorite part of this, is torn between the cockpit and the little rover that deploys out the back :)

Quoting El Barto ! Nifty! The landing gear set up is cool, too, heavy duty!
I wanted it to look heavy duty but have a flowery name.

Well you've used my idea of inverted windscreen in a fantastic way !!! But the whole thing is gorgeous. I'm amazed you've found the space to store the buggy in this rather compact design. More generally I love your red space creations. It's like M-Tron never existed and that "real" CS just turn red and even more sexy. A very very nice MOC David !

There's lots of awesomeness here! The landing gear, vehicle in the back, and color scheme. You kept with the CS style while making it a little more "exciting" in modern terms. But, the only thing I would say would be the cockpit area is too high for the rest of the build. Other than that, nicely done!
