About this creation
MELO Contest
This is the scene in "The Fellowship of The Ring" where Frodo got stabbed by a Ringwraith and Arwen goes to Rivendell to let Elrond heal him. But the Ringwraiths were still out there to get the ring from Frodo, so Arwen and her horse have to go fast enough to go to Rivendell. When the Ringwraiths go in the water, they get washed out.
Sorry this is only one photo. I procrastinated with the build, which is rushed. I took the entire day to build it. I am exhausted from all the work, this was so troublesome! I found a loophole to not build the Ringwraiths and their horses, and so that was when Arwen's horse was galloping to the river. It is hard to explain what I mean, so it is devoloped in the photo above. This is truly not my best build, but it looks so much better in real life. I just wish that I could jam in more of what I had built. The grass took so long to place, it was a pain in the neck. People screw up sometimes, and I ran out of light blue bricks to make the river. So yeah, all in all, this is a little troublesome MOC. I also think that the figs are inaccurate, so yeah fail on my part.
Here is a backup photo incase the one on top gets washed out:

I hope you've enjoyed this though.

I like this scene & it has a lot of potential. I wish you had had more time! I've been looking and looking at it and here is what I 'see'. I see a great river & bank design. I see a simple, yet effective Arwen on her horse. I see a great field of grass that we all can appreciate the time you spent on it... I would not have had your patience! I see that you have alot of supportive fans! It's the trees... you really need three of them and I would have slipped a technic hose through the 1x2 rounds so that you could have curved 1 of the tree trunks. (I think this is possible?) So, that's my insight for what it is worth! I think I felt compeled to write this as I saw such a lovely scene that with a bit of tweeking would have outshone alot of the entries! Please don't procrastinate next time! :) |

Cool build but overall it seems very simple. You should experiment with some new techniques to add a cooler effect, like maybe some tree designs or some rockwork. I understand you were rushed, but I think this could have been better if you just added to it more. Sorry for being so critical. :P |

Nice. This build had so much potential if you hadn't waited until the deadline and rushed yourself. I love the slanted river and the riverbank is well detailed. |

Nice! Yeah, grass is a pain, especially when they fall over and you have to fix (what seems like) 20 of them. I like the sandy/rocky bank of the river. Also, good idea for having the water slanted instead of following a straight in-line stud path. |
