freight depot 2013 s inspection
Mr mercury, a man of his word, inspects the Cybercity freight depot.
About this creation
STORY
The freight depot is the way all the goods the city can t produce arrives,
towels, furniture, cars, ect, that is manufactured, comes from industrial sectors,
far from cybercity, without it, it will break apart, stores will close,
residents will leave for a place that provides tv, and all modern comfort,
it would become another ghost town...

as Cybercity s bank owner, [and other reasons] MR richmond,
invested tons of money in Cybercity, but, even with his best efforts,
he can t make good his investment if the depot s managers keep
making disastrous decisions, in the worst timings under stress,
Mayor proctor wants to keep the GF out,
and Mr harris wants them in...
the depot is the debate in this fragile balance...

Sometimes, the RED PRINCE [calvet] sends messengers, and emissaries on ALTA-5,
landing pads are scattered on it, and can accomodate helicos, and small space ships,
another is [will] located on top of the public transport station.

An emergency was called in a neighboring city, [is it yours?]
Cybercity s emergency depts answer the call as stated in the civil GF law.

The new crane bridge has been installed last week,
the recycling road train will start to dump the sectoring cities s
wastes and recyclables next week, it brings extra revenues,
and keeps tourists from all the SOLARIS system coming to see alta-5 s natural beauty.

Although not 100% in operation, the depot is active,
the reg crew can manage truck traffic on the dock,
they prefer no manager, as opposed to Mr jovial,
his nervous breakdown had it s toll on them...

Mr mercury s style was nt always appreciated by the GF managers at the time,
they prefered Mr jovial, as he was more a diplomat, than efficient,
he licked them good, but, CENTRAL s disastrous, and numerous glitches,
finally brought even him to a breaking point, coming at work
with a gun, stuffing drivers s throaths with liquigel,
finally was removed by the GF managers for treaths of blowing CENTRAL with dynamite.

the GF where annoyed with mercury because he kept insisting on improvements,
after seing a couple of his close friends being injured, cargos lost,
drivers suicide, and other tragedies, he treathened to close the depot,
until it becomes according to his standards....
the GF mostly used the 'strong arm' method until he left the job,
swearing never to return!

C AGENT #1;
Ah! Mr mercury!

C AGENT #2;
Right on time!

C AGENT #1;
We secured a street parking for you!

C AGENT #2;
Sattelites will insure it s safety!

MR MERCURY;
It comes with the car!

C AGENT #1;
Here, we have your money!

C AGENT #2;
We found a perfect solution to all our problems!

MR MERCURY;
Ok, but, the girls have to go, I m beggining to think
you try to blackmail my marriage here.

MR MERCURY;
The hose s hook system is designed to have them out of the sidewalk,
like this!

C AGENT #1;
We tried to comply with your standard...

C AGENT #2;
Maybe a few more adjustments are needed.

MR MERCURY;
Where did you get the blueprints for this?

C AGENT #2;
It was in your request file.

C AGENT #1;
although your corresponding agent was arrogant, he did his filing job.

MR MERCURY;
So how did you solve our problems?

C AGENT #1;
Since you made clear no astronomical amount can keep you
in post at the depot permanently,

C AGENT #2;
We figured you would feel better forming someone to your standards,
we will comply with any demands you wish!

MR MERCURY;
You figured right, I d have to get out of this system not to hear
about the disasters happening here!

C AGENT #1;
We will send you candidates,

C AGENT #2;
As soon as you come back from tropican of course!

MR MERCURY;
So you finally installed the emergency ladder!

C AGENT #2;
Yes, you where not the only one requesting this,

C AGENT #1;
Although considered a security risk, the fire dept has insisted
persistently on this measure.

C AGENT #1;
The launch pad is now operationnal,

C AGENT #2;
it s very convenient for express cargo.
the crane places the container for express transport...

C AGENT #1;
Here is one coming now...

C AGENT #2;
The flight protocole requires a specific aproach for safety precautions.

C AGENT #1;
The space is restricted, so computer assistance according to
wind velocities, and different flight paremeters is included.

C AGENT #1;
Before you ask, the protocole is on the on-board helico s computer
in case of occasional CENTRAL overmanagement s glitches.

MR MERCURY;
It s time you aknowlege this!

C AGENT #1;
We don t disclose it in the open, to avoid paranoia,

C AGENT #2;
We re on the verge of upgrading central with new technology,
it will be able to manage much more very soon!

C AGENT #2;
The helico includes a special 'classified' storage compartment,
it is for GF industrial purposes only,
this facility does nt have the equipment to manage it,
it s mostly pcs incased in safes, and suitcases.

C AGENT #2;
Naturally, the roof slides to give access inside,

C AGENT #1;
The containers slide and are guided by wheels on the frames of the racks,
to prevent accidents and accelerate the management.

C AGENT #2;
12' containers fit on the inside rack,
but, it s really meant for the 24' s!

C AGENT #2;
Because of their lenght, and the rack emplacement, they are easier
to transfer.

C AGENT #1;
The cranes are now operated by computer instead of men,
it s more precise.

C AGENT #2;
We have to admit your chain-plate combo system is quite efficient!

C AGENT #1;
The 12' standard fits perfectly to handle small skids,
and light cargo.

MR MERCURY;
I had to deal with no chains for months!
looking at this, I can t beleive what I ve been through!

MR MERCURY;
Theses racks cost me many nights s sleep,
but, it saved me from seing guys like martel loose their hands,

MR MERCURY;
With the plates moving, it s easier to place the chains,
without having members squeezed.

MR MERCURY;
I really liked the speed we could acheive with this system,

MR MERCURY;
It drops right on the forklifts picking dock, and out of the structure!

MR MERCURY;
I found I could clear the roof dock in no time like this!

C AGENT #1;
You re the man!!!
C AGENT #2;
Totally money! you ve got it!

MR MERCURY;
You would nt beleive the fights I had with the car transports drivers...

MR MERCURY;
I have to admit I liked seeing cars on these, it just looks good.

C AGENT #1;
It s very convenient, we d like to store more though,

C AGENT #2;
We expect car sales to go to the roof, we re negotiating brand consessions,
military equipment might be expedited here too!

MR MERCURY;
I see we still have this section for our tools and skids,

C AGENT #2;
Your system was nt improved much since you left.

C AGENT #1;
Here, let s take the elevator down,

MR MERCURY;
How did you guys ever figure we could do without the crane bridge?
it s so basic an issue...

C AGENT #2;
Your assigned agent left the management of this location to central.

MR MERCURY;
Why would he do that?

C AGENT #1;
Too much work, preffered employee, familly pushed incompetent,
he was not a corp clone like us, a regular citizen,

C AGENT #2;
It s still in investigation, but, his connections did nt
prevent conditionning, rest assured!

C AGENT #2;
With the new crane bridge installed, 2 cranes can operate in tandem,
we have nt figured all applications yet, but, we intend to 'bank' on it!

C AGENT #1;
Befor We proceed inside, we can catch the car delivery happen!

C AGENT #2;
The cars are dropped in the industrial corridor,
and on to the transport ramps.

C AGENT #2;
The depot has the 5 car capacity, but, the train does nt, so it s 4 cars max.

C AGENT #2;
The cars are secured with the hook and chains.

C AGENT #1;
Since this facility handles liquigel fuel,
our fire safety equipment contractors have designed a water 'cannon'!
designed to quickly asphyxiate a fueled ignition, it rotates 360'!

C AGENT #1;
The racks are just as you left them.
it s convenient for the workers you installed a dolly rack as well.

C AGENT #1;
Following your instructions, we installed the light repair bay equipment,
the crane tandem might prove useful to lift a locomotive for repairs.

MR MERCURY;
I d have to make tests, it s a pretty heavy load, I ll check their specs
when I have time.

MR MERCURY;
I have to admit, this time, you spared no expenses!

C AGENT #2;
It more costly to loose merchandise it seems.

C AGENT #2;
We did the maths!

C AGENT #1;
The heavy doors are designed for sealing in case of fires or explosions, but, they also have a special security protocole in case of 'crazy' locomotives,
to prevent succion effect from a fast passing train, the system is programmed
to sound alarm, and seal doors!

C AGENT #2;
Now the liquigel coupling system, attached for the same succion prevention,

C AGENT #1;
Made from a special alloy, this high capacity hose will empty wagons quickly!

C AGENT #1;
You can see here the sliding roof system, it handles the weight of cargo
helicopters and small space ships well.
note the water cannons for the station,

C AGENT #2;
Since facilities of this size are nt common, or in short distances,
we installed a washing station as well,
it covers both trains of course.

MR MERCURY;
I never asked for that, I like it.

C AGENT #1;
You will find many things have changed now.

C AGENT #2;
It will not be difficult for you to form someone here!

C AGENT #1;
This depot is supposed to be 'state of the art' tech.

C AGENT #2;
Plenty of tools to make your job easier,

C AGENT #1;
Even tools you did nt ask for...

C AGENT #1;
In case of drivers incomprehension, you mentionned before...

MR MERCURY;
I can t wait to see what you developped for that!
some high tech device maybe? gps? sattelite?....

CREATOR S LOG;
oufff! weeks work, beleive me!
now, the public transport station!

Wowwww!! I love it! I have recently been getting into more of my town instead of just fire trucks. I had started a fire dept. but I think I'll make a freight station (not copying yours). Maybe we could trade products! Lol ps can I use your forklift design? -Gunnar-
