MELO Round 1: The Fall of the Balrog of Moria
OK guys! Here is my entry to the Middle Earth Lego Olympics! It is an honor to be competing, and I hope I have a spot in Round Two. So, onto the build! Oh, and judges, keep in mind that this is largely a book MOC, so if the scenery doesn't resemble that of the movie, it wasn't a lack of skill.
About this creation
compliance to rules

An angled view.

My head design. This is the pride and joy of the entire MOC.

An angle shot of the Balrog.

Landscaping.

More landscaping.

Another shot of the Balrog.

A side shot.

A shot of Gandalf.

Another shot of the head.

And, to close things up, an overhead shot.

Well, I hope you guys like it, and here's hoping I make it to Round Two!

Quoting David the Fire Ninja Jedi Great job! Nice balrog! The head is good, I agree! And hey, it's hard to make a creature that doesn't have some blocky features, awesome! Great job, again!

Quoting Ryan "Ronin" Dragonslayer Great build! The Balrog is excellent, if a bit blocky in places. The landscape is great, too but I'm not sure where the fight is taking place : is it the cave near the water they landed in or the mountain top?
Thanks! I was building this off of a recollection of the book, and I always pictured it as a snowy moutain peak with lots of rock crags.

Quoting David . Well, the Balrogs head is incredible, but his body, that be just a bit blocky. The landscape, however, the landscape is a true wonder. Good luck!
Thanks David! I kinda agree with you, the body does seem a bit blocky. Edit:I HATE AUTOCORRECT!!
