The Classic Space Pocket Money Contest
The Classic Space Pocket Money Contest-My Entry!
About this creation
My entry for The Classic Space Pocket Money Contest!

After much replacing of parts with larger and taking parts totally out, I came up with my 100 PC entry with two back of the box suggestions.

Hope you enjoy and please let me know what you think!

This vehicle can be used for both prisoner transportation and for exploration and other transportation.

Transportation haul:

ALT #1

Tisk tisk, the black-suited space man must now complete 20 years of Universe Service. How? Collecting those tiny dang Munchkikals from the moon's surface for research!

ALT #2

Time to build a teleportation station! A construction zone.

Hope you enjoyed it! It took quite a bit a time to come up with a good looking three-wheeled space vehicle!

Good lucky to all the contestants and please Rate and Comment!

A rugged looking vehicle, with its big tyres but I think that its lack of ground clearance and tricycle configuration would make it unsuited for travelling over the rough lunar surface. 5 I love how youíve made that knife-like speeder in the first alternative from the very solid transporter. The bulldozer in the second alternative is a good idea, especially with its chunky back wheels and lift-jet under its front. 8 1212 has lots of space for transporting cargo across the surface of a planet. The removable door is a good play option but it does look a bit fiddly to attach and a bit fragile too. I think that the asymmetrical tricycle and low ground clearance might make it tricky to roll across a carpet. The front sides could perhaps be more strongly attached too? 5 Classic Space wasnít about prisoners and vehicles with gun turrets. The Lego designers of the 70ís went to great lengths to avoid designing war toys: the only green Lego was in trees and baseplates for this reason. A more peaceful, fun purpose and more of the CS colours (red wheel centres and trans yellow) would have scored higher in this section. 5 Total score 23.

Design: Sorry for having to score this lower than the skill on show, it all comes own to the criteria. This is clearly a military vehicle, with its prisoner pods and gun turret. Nicely built which keeps the score reasonable, but not really a true CS design, rather a space marine MOC in CS colours. 6 Piece Selection: Two interesting alternative builds which show you have good piece selection and variety. 8 Playability: Would be fun to play with, but you couldnít have that many peaceful exploration games here. Sorry, the wrong sort of play Iím afraid. 5 CS Factor: The CS factor is somewhat absent in the MOC, and this all derives from the design error of making a military MOC. Donít get me wrong it is a well built and beautiful MOC, I just canít call it CS. If it were an open sci-fi contest the numbers across the board would have been higher. For reference it was the explicit use of a gun turret that pulled your score down further than other contestants who didnít keep to the brief. 4

This looks really realistic and the fact that you created alternate forms is fantastic!
