A rugged looking vehicle, with its big tyres but I think that its lack of ground clearance and tricycle configuration would make it unsuited for travelling over the rough lunar surface. 5 I love how you’ve made that knife-like speeder in the first alternative from the very solid transporter. The bulldozer in the second alternative is a good idea, especially with its chunky back wheels and lift-jet under its front. 8 1212 has lots of space for transporting cargo across the surface of a planet. The removable door is a good play option but it does look a bit fiddly to attach and a bit fragile too. I think that the asymmetrical tricycle and low ground clearance might make it tricky to roll across a carpet. The front sides could perhaps be more strongly attached too? 5 Classic Space wasn’t about prisoners and vehicles with gun turrets. The Lego designers of the 70’s went to great lengths to avoid designing war toys: the only green Lego was in trees and baseplates for this reason. A more peaceful, fun purpose and more of the CS colours (red wheel centres and trans yellow) would have scored higher in this section. 5 Total score 23. |

Design: Sorry for having to score this lower than the skill on show, it all comes own to the criteria. This is clearly a military vehicle, with its prisoner pods and gun turret. Nicely built which keeps the score reasonable, but not really a true CS design, rather a space marine MOC in CS colours.
6
Piece Selection: Two interesting alternative builds which show you have good piece selection and variety.
8
Playability: Would be fun to play with, but you couldn’t have that many peaceful exploration games here. Sorry, the wrong sort of play I’m afraid.
5
CS Factor: The CS factor is somewhat absent in the MOC, and this all derives from the design error of making a military MOC. Don’t get me wrong it is a well built and beautiful MOC, I just can’t call it CS. If it were an open sci-fi contest the numbers across the board would have been higher. For reference it was the explicit use of a gun turret that pulled your score down further than other contestants who didn’t keep to the brief.
