B-17 (With only two propellers though)
Believe me, I wanted to make a legitimate B-17...with four engines and a cockpit actually big enough for a minifigure, but I'm running slim on grey parts. I had to sacrifice my Millennium Falcon for this build. Anyway, hope you enjoy it!
About this creation

Front turret.

I included the hatch up front. I know there is supposed to be one out back. Maybe I will in my next revision.

Here's where the rear door would be!

Rear turret.

Overhead wingspan.

Entire fuselage opens in 3 parts.

Bombs.

Side guns and operation chairs.

Rear turret interior.

Front turret interior operation.

My small attempt at a cockpit. But I did get the wheel right!

Underside wingspan.

Landing gear is a two step process.

First the wheel folds out.

Then another piece folds in to lock it into place. I cannot take credit for this design. A recent Lego creator plane set (which is where I got the propellers) incorporated it.

And lastly, what B-17 would be complete without the bomb-bay doors?

Quoting Florida Shoooter Despite the 2 engines missing, it is still a very nice model. Detailed, with nice lines. My son recognized it immediately, so it can't be that bad, and he is only 8!! :) I also like the modular aspect to the plane. Does it hold together well?
Surprisingly, yes. It holds together very well! The original design had beams running through the fuselage where the wings were to add strength. When I decided to make the interior view-able, that portion of the structure was sacrificed. But she hasn't broken in half or anything...yet. The only annoying breakage that frequently occurs is the bomb bay doors busting off.
