My entry into the Middle Earth Lego Olympics!

The MELO contest

For the contest i built the scene that takes place in Mirkwood, when the wood elves have captured the dwarves. Bilbo slipping on his magic ring escapes, and follows the elves to their realm. This was built from description in the book and also how i had pictured it.

Legolas prince of mirkwood leads. I also added some
string that IS issued by lego to act as spider webs

hiding with the ring on is Bilbo baggins

Anyone for some mushrooms?

or even a black squirrel

Stunning! One of my favorites in the contest so far. I love that you used a black background; it really adds to the dark feel of Mirkwood that would have been missing without it. The foliage is well done and I love the black squirrel. Good luck!
