Christmas Mail/Baggage Car
A mail/baggage car that I created in 8-wide.
About this creation
Here is the mail/baggage car that is a part of my Christmas Train. Enjoy!

Here the main and side doors are open.

A closeup of the trucks.

The roof comes off in three sections.

This half contains boxes for letter mail and smaller parcel.

The shelves are used for larger packages and baggage.

*Twitch's Remarks*
Overall this is a very simple build, but it was still fun to design. This design can be expanded upon and made into a large boxcar with multiple sliding doors (which I may do later). I built this after my Christmas Coaches (which will be uploaded soon), so getting the height just right to be "in scale" was the "most difficult" part. By "most difficult" I mean not really.

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 this must be the most interesting piece you did for me, as I still have nt decided how I ll manage by cargo mail wagon on the passenger train, I can t wait until you cram it packed, lol!
Simple yet effective designs are always my favorite, and those are what I tend to stick to. Most of the time...

Quoting jd davis excellent work there you did an amazing job of getting the cars in scale with big blair
Well, she IS a big girl, so the rolling stock needed to be large as well. Which helped since I am able to shove more crap in there (when I upload the other three cars you will be able to see that better). But thank you. I am still working on Mammoth's tender, I am having some issues with the Vanderbilt design and making it just right. Mammoth is no ordinary locomotive, so a standard box tender will simply not do!

Quoting Builder Allan Really nice! I like the sorting rack and the christmas theme :-)
Thank you! The sorting rack is a very easy design, but a very effective one.

Quoting David the Fire Ninja Jedi I like the color-scheme! I think the doors are my favorite part.
Thank you! The cars that I designed for my Christmas Train are based on the Amtrak Superliner cars, but I went with older model doors to give it a "classic" look since they are pulled by a steam locomotive. I wanted that nice blend of modern and classic.
