Quoting Stuart Lucas Gob-smackingly enormous! This is another awesome BG build from you, I'm particularly impressed with the way you've shaped the middle of each Y-shaped layer, and the fact that one can rotate over the other in spite of the weight, that's quite a feat of Lego engineering.
Thank you Stuart for such praise. The middle of each Y section is almost solid Lego for strength.

Quoting Charles Risner I absolutely LOVE your BSG creations! I have been looking everywhere for quality collector's items, and what better than Lego creations?? Do you ever sell any of your creations? I'd be very interested in knowing what you would charge for duplicates of your works! Charles
WOW Charles what a compliment. I have never thought to sell these creations or think them as collectors items. Duplicating them would be hard as there are no plans for them just determination to get them to look right. Usually by the time I have posted them they are on their way to be dismantled because they take up so much space. If I was to build them again they would be better than the first. Placing a value would be difficult because I don't know how many elements I have used nor what elements were uses at the time. I often build a section and if I think it is not good enough I rebuild it again this can happen several times to get it to look right to me. I guess there is always a first time to try and sell or see what interest there is for buying one of these creations. Cheers

Quoting Tim C Wow, Garry. I don't know how I missed this being posted. More brilliance. You should challenge yourself some time to do something mediocre. I think it would prove a real head-scratcher for you;) If I didn't know any better, I would say that the LEGO bricks in your collection were made of rubber, because they shouldn't be able to be manipulated with the ease with which you seem to do it. Love the shaping of this monster. Very accurate. A master class in that which is possible. Well done as always, good sir.
A very HUGE thank you Tim for such overwhelming praise for this build. I love a challenge and I will take you up on yours. I still have to thank Curtis for his original vision for his Basestar. Once the template is created the sky is the limit, not just for me but anyone else who wishes to take it up. I have begun another challenge of creating Stephan's Colonial Viper MII. I still have many parts on the way so now I am creating the launch rail for the Viper. Cheers for now and keep up the brilliant builds.

A massive so say we all to you Bart man. I was so lucky that I found two Basestars under my tree or was it the table. Glad that you liked it and I hope to see a new one of yours soon. YES I am a tough guy with my Basestars. HAHA. All the very best for the New year.

A huge New Years greetings to you Luke. Thank you for your gracious comment and I agree the blue made a difference rather than using just Gray. Cheers and all the best for the Year.

Quoting Mark Kelso NICE, Gary! Looking forward to seeing Blood and Chrome here soon...if not for more BSG, certainly for the likelyhood that it will inspire additional builds from Galactica Gods such as yourself. ;) Meanwhile, beautiful job on the form with this one, and I love the "sawtooth" effect in the design. Seems appropriate that this bad boy should appear to have teeth!
Thank you very much Mark for your very complimentary comment. This was a fun spin on the other Basestar. Blood and Chrome ..... some of the ships are now on my list. All the best for the New Year and hope to see more of your build soon.

Quoting Deus Otiosus I think I would like it even better knowing the source material. I trust in your skill enough to assume it is perfectly replicated.
Thank you Deus for your comment. This build is from the Universe of BSG in my head. The great thing about science fiction there are no limits to ones imagination and When a person says it never existed it just means that person did not think of it.. It is an variation to the first Basestar that Curtis had designed with his LDD. Thank you again.

Quoting David Alexander Smith Another stupendous build. Detailed and epic in every sense. There must be some serious support structures in this to keep it balanced on such a relatively small axis point,
Thank you David for your comment and question. The inner structure is solid LEGO and is held up by thread that supports the arms while taking photos.

Quoting Ruud Hoogmoed Hi Garry, Again a masterpiece! Breathtaking, it seems you've beat the rules of gravity very well. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you RUUD for your comment. I must admit gravity was over come by heavy duty cotton thread holding the upper arms up other wise they would be on the bench and me not being too happy.
