Classic Space - Command center - The return.
Well .... As we wrote in the mining Diorama, we wanted to use my old TFOL Classic Space minifigs for something. I had more than 6 so the diorama just grew !! :P
About this creation

3. Classic Space - Construction - The return.

Ohhh ..... So a command center was present afterall !!

At this size, a beyond major operation must be taking place !

What are they up to ?

Mmmmmm .... Who cares. Its not like they are hostile anyway. :)

Lets see whats going on inside the command center then !

Did you know that a Classic Space Pocket money contest is going on at MOCpages? ... Hurry up with the build dudes. You know you have the command of the building operation up here, right?

They are monitoring a solar system on their holographic device, thats for sure !

Hmmmm, that does look like the solar system. But its defintely not the moon their base is surfaced on ! .... Where on Earth are they ? ... Wait a minut. Where in the whole of Classic Space are they ? ... ( Phew, better ! ) .

I tell you !! ... That bat was huge. And its true, it didnt wear any helmet !!

Right ..... Have some more Space juice friend. :)

Now Space-E ..... Can you please make sure that when im going to the surface using this state of the art elevator, that nobody messes with my barrel filled with flowers please ! ?

Beep BEEP Beep .... S...P...A...C---EEeeeeee

Automatic doors like those George Lucas stole from the TLG designers. :D

They used to write looong command prompts in order for the doors to open. Now all they have to do is press the "space"bar.

Topview of the Command center and mining Diorama together.

So what are they building on here ... A mine that size, and a command center huger than most LEGO sets currently available .... And what solar system are they monitoring .... Hope we will find out in time !! :P

Quoting David Alexander Smith Love the lift and canopy door. That little walker bot is pretty cute too. I feel for you regarding the camera. I have a rubbish camera which never does my builds justice, but finances means this is the way things will be for some time yet.
Finally .. There it is ! ... Thanks for the lovely comments, my youngest kid cant stop playing around with the whole of the build ( even the segments that we havent finished yet ) ... And also to start with, i wanted this to be a MOC for show, but as he got involved i realised what Classic Space was all about for me when i was his age ... So playability it is. And thanks for seeing that ..... By now ive gotten used to our camera being broke. Offcourse one would always have loved to make it look more professionel, then again, it hit me ... It is more about sharing with the community of LEGO .. I mean , tomorrow its our 1st MOCiversary. Looking back, without all of you kind souls in here, we probably wouldnt have, as a family grown together as we have over a hobby as LEGO .. Now its almost a lifestyle even though we have had a break from building for almost half a year ... Once again thanks for reposting David, means a lot to us .. :)

Quoting David Roberts Great fun: both the build and the write up! I think that one of the brilliant things about Classic Space was that the sets generated all of those questions and never answered them, leaving it childrens' (our!) imaginations.
Thanks. :) .... I totally agree with you ... When i found my old TFOL LEGO ( http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/321650 ) half a year ago, what i remembered the most, was my Classic Space collection ... Since then it has been "haunting" me .. Looking at my 34 NEO minifigs ... I just had to use them for something, and here it is + more to come ... And as our build evolves, the story came by itself, just as i remembered having played with it when i was a kid. Honestly, i become 10 years again as the build progresses figuring out the storyline along with my designer side of the brain .... I so LOVE LEGO .... Glad i have a girlfriend that does understand that its not all about the kids having fun. It´s also about me .. Haha. :)
