Tell our moms we did our best.... This is a sequel to "NOT our finest moment" MOC. This tells the story from the perspective of the Targan Defence Forces who fought bravely despite the overwhelming odds against the sole Earth Force Destroyer, in what has become Earth's greatest act of cruelty under a tragic misunderstanding. "Tell our moms we did our best...." was what many Targan pilots uttered over the radio as they plunged headlong towards the seemingly indestructible blue alien vessel hovering over their capital city. One by one, surviving pilots witnessed their comrades and wingmen vaporize into thin air where their aircraft had been moments before. Some brave Targans even attempted kamikaze-style attacks against the strange blue ship....but all their efforts where to no avail as they were thwarted by a seemingly invisible barrier that covered the alien vessel. The Tha'akorr, the flagship of the Targan navy, responded to the call as she was in the vicinity. While enroute to counter the alien menace, her entire bridge was disintegrated by a deadly red beam that cut a swath through her thick armor and killed all commanders and bridge crew alike. This resulted in the massive carrier losing helm controls and running aground. Undeterred, many vertical take-off aircraft managed to launch off the carrier decks to contribute to the brave defense of the Targan capital city. Despite their courage and efforts, half the city had been lost by the time several Earth Force Bridge Officers mutinied and relieved the Proxima's captain of his duty and put a stop to the massacre of innocent alien lives....
