Conquest 09: Flight of the Sith
About this creation
Prakith, the laboratory and chambers of Darth Ignatious, several hours after the events in Saviours 10: The Masters' Door .

Ignatious scurried around his lab, throwing vials, coins and other items into a small chest. The room shook all around him as either the Sith Lords initiated the self-destruct sequences within the Temple or the Jedi renewed their bombing campaigns.

Yurren Relm: "Going somewhere, Ignatious?"

Darth Ignatious spun around and scowled at the sight of the Kaminoan Jedi Knight.

Ignatious' eyes darted to his saber-staff which rested against his desk.

Yurren Relm: "There's no point in fighting, Ignatious. The Sith have lost."

Darth Ignatious: "No! No, I have a destiny to fulfill!"

The weapon snapped into Ignatious' hand before Yurren could stop him. Grudgingly, Yurren spun his blade in his hand and adopted a defencive position.

Yurren Relm: "Your choice is made, Ignatious. Whatever happens, I will not be responsible for your fate!"

Darth Ignatious: "But I will be for yours!"

Ignatious raised his hand and unleashed a torrent of Force drain. The attack caught Yurren off guard and sent him flying backwards to crash amongst the broken vials that littered the floor.

Yurren raised himself painfully to his feet as Ignatious cackled wildly to himself. Reaching out with the Force, Yurren sent Ignatious crashing into the chest behind him.

Ignatious hissed as he leapt from the splinters of wood and lunged at Yurren, his longer blade lashing out at the Jedi from all sides.

Ignatious' eyes fell upon his disecting tool and he reached out and grabbed a sharpened pick.

Yurren grunted with effort as he leapt into the air, narrowly avoiding the shining blade as it spun past below him.

Yurren landed on the table and fixed Ignatious with a hard glare.

Darth Ignatious: "Just because you were trained by Soru, it does not mean you are him!"

Yurren Relm: "No, I am not. But Master Soru did train me. And he trained me well."

Ignatious cried out as one of his experiments slammed into his back and knocked him to the floor.

Yurren jumped down from the table and kicked Ignatious' blade away.

Darth Ignatious: "Go on! Kill me!"

Yurren Relm: "I will kill you Ignatious, but not for the reason which you want me to!"

Yurren raised his blade but suddenly the whole room shook violently, sending a shower of small rocks tumbling down from the roof above. Yurren lost his balance and a cruel smile touched Ignatious' lips.

Ignatious' staff flew into his hand and he turned and swung at Yurren, knocking the Jedi Kngiht backwards.

Raising his hand, Ignatious unleashed another surge of Force drain, throwing Yurren back across the floor.

Darth Ignatious: "It's over, Relm! I have waited a long time for this."

Yurren Relm: "You've wasted your time then."

Before Ignatious could register what was happening, Yurren reached out and pulled through the Force at the damaged ceiling. Chunks of rock tore free from the roof above Ignatious and fell down against his head.

Ignatious' howl was drowned out as he became buried under a pile of rock and stone. Yurren pushed himself painfully to his feet, kicking Ignatious' broken saber-staff aside.

Yurren Relm: "Perhaps death will be kind to you Ignatious. We shall see."

Hours past in the broken lab with no sign of movement.

Suddenly, there was the sound of rocks sliding against each other and from a small gap emerged a bloodied hand.

Darth Algren stared at the hand, trying to decide whether to cut it off or to pull it free.

Eventually however, he reached down and pulled Ignatious from the rubble. The Sith Lord rose painfully to his feet, his skin bloody, his weapon destroyed and his robes in tatters.

Darth Algren: "You live, my friend."

Darth Ignatious: "I... I am dying Algren."

Darth Algren: "You cannot. What of the plan."

Darth Ignatious: "There will be no plan if I die! You must help me!"

Darth Algren: "What must I do?"

Darth Ignatious: "Get me to Gardocia..."

Very nice episode, Harry. I like the ending of the duel and that both characters survived. Ignatius is cool!

I''ll be interested to see this comic find its way to Gardocia, especially considering that it was destroyed just before Inferno left it. I'll upload something about the terrain though, in case you plan to have the planet reassembled. And it would be good to see some of Inferno's more powerful force powers, like a shock wave or ball lightning.
