Finally I'm posting again! This is my first post in about 7 months, and I've been working on it for about 5 months. The detail, and time needed in this creation to polish it up, was extremely tedious, as I'm sure you guys can guess. After having watched the walking dead about 6 months ago, I was inspired to make this scene, which is sort of based on the city scene when Rick rides in on his horse. But at the same time, I had just finished this armored car, which took a good month and a half, and I didn't want to post it by itself, because it wouldn't seem as good as it would in a larger scene. So here you see the final product, a post apocalyptic scene in NYC with a small squad of surviving marines exploring an East River road. Hope you enjoy, and please rate and comment if you like it!

About this creation
An overview of the scene happening on the road. Sorry the picture's a little blurry. The treads on the road are supposed to be tire poppers laid out by police to stop the infected population from escaping and spreading the disease.
The 3 marines, taking out one lonely zombie on the street with a knife, so as not to make noise and attract more zombies.
A hole right in the center of the road, exposing a water pipeline, which is gushing water.
A police road block, which was overrun by zombies, who nibbled the bodies of the police clean to the bone.
A revolving door leading into the waterfront hotel.
The road view, from the gunner of the cars perspective.
A close up of that burst pipe and the hole in the road.
The water front flood barrier, with a guard rail on top to stop unlucky souls from falling into the water.

The hotel facade.
The collapsed, ruined interior of the once million dollar hotel grand suite.
The collapsed floor.

A top view of the scene.

The roof, and just bringing it to everyones attention, each of those 4 by 3 plates on the roof are from a collectible minifigure, count them and thats how many figs I have!

A front view of the car, my favorite part of the scene.
Car side view.
Car rear view.

Car side view.

The gunner and his minigun.

The car without the gunner.
The driver.
The car is easily accesible to put in minifigs and equipment in it.
The marines, I really like how they turned out. They all carry silenced weapons or knives so as to take out zombies quietly, and a normal machine gun in case they are compramised.

There is a lot to it, I admit that. It is actually a pretty nice MOC. But what I do n ot like, and REALLY do not like, is the part in description that says that apocalypse is now, while it is clearly in four days - 21.12.2012. |

Quoting Brick Lord
I like it a lot! Are we talking about the first, second or third season of The Walking dead though?
The first season, when rick rides into atlanta on a horse, and gets trapped in a tank, then rescued by glen. |

Nice work! Looks very apocalyptic! Although the road could have done with a bit of a dust before you took the photos. Haha!
Good job though.
