About this creation

I decided to build an entry for the CCCX Daring Escape category, and due to the order in which I built the scenes, I've chosen to have the first scene be the resolution and the next two progressively older flashbacks.

So this was it. At the law had found me, and no longer was I the invincible bandit. A spear bit deep into my leg, I stumbled to the ground. Crawling back I turned to face justice, and waited silently for my sentence.

I reflected before death, on all which had brought me here. I remembered the prison cell, my one-minded quest to escape. Slowly I tunnelled into the basement, and rejoiced in freedom. Yet I would never truly be free, not after my capture.

Farther back I thought, recalling the events which had led to my confinement. I had taken a sack of coin from a courier merchant, and returned to the forest a rich man. No longer need my family toil in the fields! Yet the King's men tracked me down, and in my naivete I dared draw blade against them. Alas for the foibles of youth, alas for the desperation of poverty.

A closer view of the rockwork, waterfall, and river. (The cheese water technique is George G.'s.) I wanted to experiment and improve upon my rockwork and landscape skills in this MOC, and used Mark Kelso's landscaping as a guide. Thanks for stopping by!

Quoting Mr. Xenomurphy Composition is as important as building techniques (in my opinion) and here you show us that you have a knack for it. The addition of the little almost hidden pond was very clever.
Thanks, I completely agree. You're comment means a lot, I've been trying to get a handle on composition for a while.

Quoting Stephan Schumann Overwhelming stunning storytelling and scenary! The rock-workout is really very magnificant! Well i am building something similar out of real bricks, at the moment, too - hated to built only spacethings in digital - And such great work as your's is an great encouragement to try it myself. Well done dude! Keep on your fantastic work!
Thanks Stephan, looking forward to seeing your next creation. If you're half as skilled with the bricks as you are with LDD it'll be phenomenal.

the scenes are well done, very clean, classy, but as a french speaking man, I also appreciate the writing, great story! I re-edited the GF structure pages, as the story s, the TRADE OBJECT; is your objective, motive for alliance, trade, $$$, political, commercial, with the GF, if CLARENCE VAN INDUSTRIES, of the planet; BELUK are still in buisness selling; starships, weapons tech, that is...thanks!
