Thank you for your opinion. Yes, you have to use the 9398 as your chasis and the rest of the set to build the body. If you don't have the set but you have all the parts needed to build the chasis, you still qualify to join the competition. The only parts that are new is the servo motor, the motor on the drive train and the IR receiver. You can download the instructions and part list at the front page of the technic competition. This is a very simple build jeep and only need some parts that are not included in the set 9398.
