Jamesville VFD, Engine Tanker 101
Jamesville is the first of my new small communities around Charlottesburg city, i really wanted to build some different stuff and break some of my own rules a little, these units will often feature slightly less than city-legal lighting, such as the greens shown here. Really i wanted to build the type of units you find in small communities in the US.
About this creation
This particular unit is a 2006 American La France pumper tanker, built onto a single rear axel, i couldn't get hold of windows but i don't think it is to the detriment of this machine. its also been built out of spare or old parts i managed to get together and just like would be in reality is not as new nice and shiny as a metropolitan 24/7 department like the city.

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 you have such a nice fire truck, I have to press that you d do smart by posting big and more pics, it s really worth it, don t be shy that you re good, lol,
The photos are a really interesting point, these creations are my first with a proper camera (a 550d) and i was wondering about how big to post them, considering the strain it might put on the servers.
Quoting cyberfrank 2010 as opposed to the firemen enthousiasts here, I do not reproduce the past, or present in my fire dept, I feel this part of my city to be special in many ways, 1rst it s one of the few posts I can make that saves real lives, a kid might remember a fire story s advice and use it, 2nd I consider the firemen as the knights of the 21rst century, anybody doubthing this just have to look at 911 documentaries, and I hate loosing such men in action, if it s possible, that s why I m looking at the future with my fire dept, I have a robot and rockets, but, I m going nowhere by myself, I need real firemen advise on this, I did nt joke about that, I m for real, it does nt cost me much to experiment, it s lego, but, as a star trek fan, I can t help but to hope inspiring people to better equip the fire depts, when a robot could take the risks, and to blow houses instead of loosing good men, that s how we extinguish oil towers when aflamed, so, why not on buildings too? now, that you know how I feel about it, I d like you to comment about it on my police fire station, please 'inspect it' if you check my city, you ll see every building is fire covered, even pay phone have extinguishers, now, would nt that make your life easier?
Again a very interesting point, I get very stuck in that area, i do tend to build bizzare and weird ideas on my desk and they sit on my computer but i never post them. The reason i post what i do is that i really love trying to get detail onto minifigure scale, its a very strange draw for me, how realistic can i make a world for little bright yellow disproportionate people, its really weird the buzz i get from it. I do really value your opinion on the matter, you and Sven have the most fantastic minfigure scale towns around, really makes me want to go back to building a town, i can rebuild my nuclear pizza oven, and get the fire brigade out to deal with takeout disaster :)

Great work James. The stickers look good and I like the use of car doors for lockers on the side of the truck

Quoting Zak Overmyer Great looking rig. A good representation of those smaller town rural communities without the nice, brand new trucks. Also love that you used the green light in the Correct way!
My lego law is the same as in the UK that greens are for doctors responding so this is incorrect for me, but theres something quite charming about it. A few places will have the greens, and there are some funky colors that some of the VFDs are having in the lightbars, and some rotorays, you'll love it, xmas tree firetrucks.
