Nice work Ryan. If you could've just added some cheese slopes so that the rocks wouldn't have any studs on it, the rocks would look better.
I haven't bought any LEGO's in about ten years and the studless cheese slopes are a fairly new piece (there is one white one in the build from a little snowman I was given a couple years ago as an ornament) but I agree they would smooth out the crags a bit. Thanks! |

I love the way you 'shorten' the hobbits. |

Your Legolas is my favorite! And I like that you retained a blue hat for Gandalf as stated in the book! :) |

It's great that you found the time to build an entry! Thank you! The rock-work is very good and so is the whole MOC for a creation of that size. |

Good entry! I would have had the hobbits have just torsos on the snow with a bit pile around them, and then have the men with around 2/3 of their legs covered. :D (Also I would change up some hair there) Grand job overall, can't wait to show you mine! Best of luck to you!
The men are at 2/3, actually. I made Gimli just a torso but I wanted to show that the hobbits are even shorter than he is. Can't wait to see your entry! |

Thanks guys! My photography is still pretty bad but I'm getting better lol. I did mention Boromir after the mention of Merry and Pippin; he's my favorite character from the trilogy.
I haven't bought any legos in about ten years so I don't have any of the real hair or beards. I used the only beard I had for Gandalf so I tried to find the best face for Gimli.
Thanks again! Good luck with the contest! |

Pretty good! The rockwork is nice, and the snowy appearance is well done. I like the technique for the hobbits and Gimli. However, the Gimli fig doesn't look like Gimli, a beard piece would make it look better. Also, Legolas has blonde, long hair, judging from my official fig, but it would be understandable if you don't have blonde hair. Oh, and you didn't mention Boromir in the presentation. Overall, this gets a 4/5. Good luck in the competition! |
