Well its the final round and im in it! Never really thought I would make it this far but here I am. I enjoyed this category immensly, It was a lot of fun rebuilding a set. I picked LEGO's City of Atlantis set. I made many improvements overall, take your time and have a good look. Please let me know what you think, Thanks for viewing. Enjoy.

Impressive take on the category! Perhaps the "cleanliness" of the build puts it over the top! Congratulations for winning it all! Well-deserved! |

Nice color scheme and detailing, with some cool play features. It's a really close round, but my vote goes to your opponent. |

You hit me with a remake of one of my favorite sets ever (one that I re-interpreted myself quite some time ago http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/274897). Since apparently I'm still a judge, I'll have to vote for you. |

Both entries are great, but your's just has an extra clean, crisp look to it that really made this stand out for me. Plus, I love the use of the trans-blue plates. You got my vote! |

Both entries really encapsulated what I was looking for when I came up with this category. Each managed to keep the spirit of the original set while still making significant upgrades, so congrats to you both for that. As for my vote, in a VERY close call...it goes to you. Good luck with the remaining judges!~H |

Quoting Leda Kat =^..^=
Gosh this is a tough decision. I really like both entries for different reasons. Your presentation is beautiful and your moc is neat and clean and the upgrades you've done to the original set are subtle and flawless. While I feel Daevster’s enhancement were a bit more obvious and upon first viewing my vote was going to him, but then I went back into both mocs and I began to see all the things you’ve done here which I didn’t notice upon first look. The way you’ve managed to achieve the changes with so much subtlety I think is where your skill actually lies. You have my vote. Good luck with the rest of your judges.
Thank you for your vote I appreciate the time you spent picking up the small details inside. I was afraid some of those would be missed. Thanks very much. :) |

Quoting Chris Phipson
Like I said on your opponent's entry, this was probably the hardest round to judge for me. The category calls for an upgrade to the set and not a total makeover to have it look like a pro moccer did it, never an easy task. That being said, both of you did a stunning job of it! This one could really go either way so good luck with your other judges! My vote goes with you! ~ Chris.
Thanks for your vote!

I like your overall aesthetic upgrades here, especially the trans blue 'base'. The rock work turned out nice, too. It's all very polished throughout, but I went with your opponent on this one. I felt his upgrades changed the set more significantly. Should be a close one, so good luck with the other judges! |

*stands and claps* Where to begin? I love just about everything! Perfect take on the category, and I'm diggin' the emphasis on the aquatic feel of the build! You've left a strong legacy on this year's MIT, and I can't wait to see more from you in the future :)
Thanks for your comment Daevster Im glad you like it. Cant wait for your build I am sure it will be great! Good luck. |

I bought this in pair, to make sure I d have enough freedom, I like yours best, the blue trans you spilled all over makes a great underwater effect, + itlooks rather good close to the golden gate, the roof front however is better with trim, than filled, your treasure is much more appealing, and I love the tilted column! |
