About this creation
Every now and then you come across a movie that has a moment or single image that will haunt you for the rest of your life... Paranormal Activity 3 has that one such moment. I watched it for the first time on Halloween and haven't been able to shake this image. So thought I would Lego-ize it in the hopes of making it "cute" so as to get that image out of my head!

actual film still check it out if you dare.

Hey Millie I just wanted to let you know, since I first saw this I watched the whole saga, just finished now the third movie and was totaly creeped by the scene. I admit now that on my 1st comment I thought «c´mon, how scary can it be?», but it really succeeds in giving us the chills, doens0t it?. Again, great design on the kitchen. Have nice holidays!

That kitchen is beautiful! And judging by Tyler's comment... I think he likes the naughty bits on the Friends figs hehehe. Great build Leda! ~ Chris.

Quoting Tim C Yeesh, Leda. Give me chills. Alright, so let's focus on the build and not the utter horror of this thing. This is one of the best built kitchens I've seen. Reminds me a lot of Paula G's kitchen. (If you haven't seen it: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/306453). I love the counter work on this and the little details in the cabinets. The floor tiles blow my mind because you were somehow able to include grout. That will leave me scratching my head for a while. The island that the girl is sitting at is also very well put together. This would be a completely innocuous kitchen if not for two factors. First, there is that Monster Fighters ghost, which normally looks rather comical. Not how you have used it, though. This one looks threatening. Also, in a stroke of pure genius, it's the lighting. That's what really gives this MOC an eerie look. Like a horror flick right here on my computer. Thanks for giving me the creeps, Leda;) Great build, as always.
You always give such great comments! Thanks man. The kitchen isn't displayed properly here to tell you the truth, the angle I took the photo at is too low so you actually can't see the full kitchen... since so many people have commented on the kitchen style and build I might put up another image taken at a slightly higher angle so you can see the little island in the middle and that the girl is sitting at a table not an island. I always take about 100 pics! And this one was the nicest with lighting and focus and just general feel, even though the angle isn't as accurate to the angle of the original image as some others were. Rambling... you know what I mean!

I only watched the first movie of the franchise and found it pretty lame (like most of the teenfriendly horror movies nowadays). Nevertheless, I'm blown away by your accuracy. It's fun to switch between the original still and your creation and compare all those details you captured. Brilliant.

A great scene, full of interesting details such as the jumper-plate draw-fronts. I like how this scene has a ceiling, which is unusual in MOC like this and I think that this really makes it stand out, plus it matches the photo very well. The lighting & photography are great too.

Quoting The Timinater ! Wow, this is an amazingly detailed scene, Leda! Excellent job! Can I just say, I'd love to see you try out some other themes.
I don't really understand what you mean... I do lots of different themes. In the last few months I've done movies, fairytales, brick built animals/creatures, Star Wars, Super Heros, dolls house... what else do you want? Mecha? Post apoc? Nope, not my style.

I've just edited my post to include a link to the actual still from the film for those who don't know it. I didn't want to include the pic cos I didn't want to frighten any small children, and I didn't want to spoil it for people who haven't watched the movie yet... but you can chose to click the link or not. Also I've just realised I forgot to type in the date/time on the lower right hand corner. If I get time tonight when I get home I will add that in. Cheers for your comments guys.

Quoting Yuri Fassio Is it any better than #1? The last decent horror I saw was 1408.
In my opinion #3 is the best. 1 and 2 had some nice creepy moments for sure, but nothing that lingered beyond turning the lights back on... but this one scared the *beep* outta me.

Quoting Ryan Durant Such impressive house details! I have to ask, where did you find those red brick pieces? So far, I've only found them in dark grey. ~Ryan
Those bricks in the back of the room are medium dark flesh, I got heaps of them from the new Friends set, http://shop.lego.com/en-NZ/Summer-Riding-Camp-3185;jsessionid=a+99Z7qTAz-jzurIxF-PKg**.lego-ps-4-3. The brick bricks though come in 4 colours, dark tan, dark bley, light bley and medium dark flesh. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=98283

Quoting Tyler Halliwell As said below, it's always nice to see a creation of yours without having to click on the link. I really like the use of a Friends figure. The body proportions are a bit more realistic than a minifig.
Thanks Tyler, I used the friends fig for two reasons, 1 they are just a tad taller than minifigs and the "ghost" needed to be little to match the scene and 2 that outfit is almost an exact match for the girl in the movie and I just couldn't find an outfit for a minifig that worked.

Great job on that kitchen! Not having seen the movie, it does look cute. More like a kid asking mom where the Halloween basket is before trick-or-treating. I especially like the lighting coming in from the left. Adds some warmth to the shot. Well done!

“A haunting we will go, a haunting we will go. Ooooo, oooo the ghosty goes till we zap it with a proton pack or two (remember don’t cross the streams) and trap its ectoplasmic arse. A haunting we will go, yeah!” A beautiful vignette (the room looks marvelous) you’ve got here and I’ll always be there to drive off those spectral nasties (or at least throw down a little “Dead Man’s Party” to get things started) for ya!

I just watched that scene on YouTube. Out of context, it looks like the ghost is totally just messing with that woman. Haha she turns around, and it's like, "Dangit, she heard me!" It's happened to me on many occasions when I try to scare my brothers, except I can't phase through the floor. Lucky little ghost...
