Sometimes a spaceman needs a good view of Venus.

Excellent work as always, David. I love the high driver's seat and your work on the unique-looking wheels. Always good to see someone score some new pieces;) I, myself, was extra good this year and am hoping for a heavy take from old St. Nick this year. What I really dig about this work is how you have ventured away from CS. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of CS and also of your work in the genre, but seeing you take a style of build that you would usually put together with those old pieces and taking a more modern approach is impressive. For me, especially, seeing as how I don't seem to build anything but future vehicles. Well done. |

That'll work, to see or be seen. Nice.
Must invest in pink and lime green bricks now. |

Dude, this just needs a high reach fork attached to it and it's perfect!
I'm always up for a mod. |

I love how the driver is protected by the windscreen and the big nose at the front but is out in the open, ready to be picked off by some Venusian monster, at the back. It's behind you! (Well pantomine season is upon us)
Pantomime season - don't give me ideas. |

That has a great color scheme and blocky classic space style. |

Cool beans. Love the colours
I was trying to find a way of mixing grey and white, and who would have thought orange would turn out to be the best mixer.

Very smooth, and very cool! Great build.
That was the aim, to keep the body smooth and clean. |

Oh, I can't resist this... I'm not sure if that thing is high enough to 'view' 'Venus'! Can't wait to see your contraptions! :)
The open cockpit is the real problem. |

Nice! I really like the frame... Kind of reminds me of the Mars Mission Crystal Reaper set for some obscure reason; really, really cool! :D
Strange I had the mars mission sets in mind, although obviously this is designed for Venus. |

Ok, you're excused for the lack of monsters ;-) I really must catch up on your MOCs, Satan's mill is fab - you're right, this sort of thing would be a real hit I think. Looking forward to seeing the results of this, hopefully at a convention or two! |

Chris and Jon, seeing as you raised it here, I guess the time is right to announce what has been my secret project. Ever since I completed Satan's Mill ( http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/342453) I've been planning some ORRT automata - turn the handle and see the croc bite the spaceman's legs off. I've been doing lots of test studies behind the scenes - that's why no monsters have appeared in my ORRT builds since the summer. The ultimate aim would be to build a few of these to take to conventions. I think they could be a winner with the visitors. So there you have it ORRT automata coming soon! |

definitely high visibility - but i agree with Jon the downfall is the blue spaceman can easily be plucked away by some unknown creature |

I'm not sure this bodes well for the ORT, blue looks like a bit of a sitting duck up there hehe. I see some sort of "plucked from his vehicle by a huge tentacle" related incident in his future :-) |
