A working tattoo machine made of 100% Lego (except for the sewing needle).
About this creation
This is a tattoo machine I made using a Power Functions XL Motor and switch. The on/off switch is operated by the index finger (see pic) instead of a foot petal like the real thing. As you can see in the photo, this version rest comfortably in my right hand with the weight of the motor resting on top of my hand. The overall gear ratio is 1:25 (the first set of 40t to 8t gears is hidden by the second set). The only modification I had to make was centering and gluing the sewing needle into a blue cross-axle pin. No, I don't have any tattoos of my own, but maybe one day I'll get a brick on my skin with my Lego version of this artistic tool.
