Hunt For "God" #24: The Toa's Code
The Mata Droids, the newest "toys" of the Cult, have attacked the Toa Racta, along with the Matoran the Toa have sworn to protect. In the battle, the Mata Droids took Toa Parah captive. He was forced to watch, as six sickeningly familiar characters were sent to attack the remaining Toa...

ENJOY!

Benu: I've got this, guys!
Onika: Benu! Don't!

Benu: Whoever you are, I know you're not the Toa Mata. They all have completely different armour now. I also know that we will defeat you! Because good always provails over evil!

The Tahu droid argues his point. Not with his mouth... but with his eyes.
Benu: Agh!

Krode: I see. Playing dirty, are we?

...We have some projectiles of our own!
The Tahu droid is unphased. Instead, it's eyes begin to sizzle.

Krode: Heh, Heh. What'd you know? I can't hurt you, and you can't hurt me... I think we may need to "talk" this out!

far behind the scenes is the Blue Droid. It watches as it's soldiers attack the Toa...

...and witnesses all hell break loose!

Instinctively, Leka hits the Lewa droid's stomach. Although it does not feel pain as a normal person does, it still covers its stomach, for the risk of any circutary being damaged. And while it does this, it drops its axe.

Leka grabs the axe, whilst pinning the struggling Lewa droid to a wall.

He lets go, and the Lewa droid slides to the floor. With one clean stroke, he takes the Lewa droid's arm off.

Leka: Guys! I figured it out! The robot's are fragile at the joints! Attack them at the joints!

The blue droid hesitates. It cannot have all it's troops die in the first battle. Too much time had been taken to manufacture these Mata droids for them to be destroyed now. It reaches for the communicator.
Blue Droid: Attention all units! Withdraw immediately! I repeat, withdraw immediately!

The droids do as they are instructed.
Leka: They're going!
Krode: Damn! I was looking forward to that!
Korapa: What's going on?

Later, on the surface...
Blue Droid: Units T, P and O shall return back to the base. The rest shall remain with me to defend this post. Unit BG shall be activated now.

Below the surface, the Bohrok which had been hiding under the wreakage... unfolds.

Onika: I don't know about you guys, but I think that those guys suited the discription just fine!

...They probably were the ones who took Parah! I think we should go after them and find out what they did with him!

Before anyone can react, the Gahlok springs up into the air, and takes Galika to the ground. The two wrestle with eachother, Galika groaping for the Gahlok's Kraana, oblivious to the fact that removing it will have no effect.

But she does not need to find that out, for the job is finished for her, in a less subtle way.

Galika: Thanks for that.
Leka: No problem. Remember what I said; fragile at the joints.
Krode: Oh yeah, and I should have said before, the Bohrok are prostetic as well; removing the Kraana would have been useless.
Galika: Thanks for that, Krode.

Onika: There's no time for that. Let's go!

The Mata drones wait at their positions, ready to defend their base with thier Prosthetic lives. They look on, unphased, as eight figures appear from the horision...

the eight that make Parah's rescue party!

Krode: Benu!
Benu: What?
Krode: These guys are obviously not invincible. If you go back to the base, and look in the secret case underneath the table, take out what's in there and bring it here, then I'm sure we can trim the ranks a little.
Benu: Why couldn't you have told me this while we were still there?
Krode: Don't question me, boy!

Galika: Where's he going?
Krode: To get something. Don't worry, sister, it'll help us.

A signal is given, and the Bohrok charge.

They gather around Leka, who swings his axe, frightening the Bohrok away.

The Lewa droid sees the predicament, and advances. Two great beams of energy fire from his eyes, towards the battle.

the results are satisfactory for the Mata droid.

The Bohrok gather around the axe, making sure that no Toa can reach it. Their shields glow, preparing to strike.

They never do.

Potu lifts the axe above his head and swings it. The Bohrok do not hesitate; they know that Leka's threat was only a bluff.

So Potu takes a more direct method. He cuts down the first Bohrok...

...and then the second.

He turns on the last Bohrok, until...

???: Potu!

Get out of the way!!

Potu dives. Benu fires. The Kohrak and Lewa Droids disintergrate.

Blue Droid: Unit G, you shall follow me. Unit K, you shall defend this position!

The Blue droid leaves, followed by the Gali droid.

The Kopaka droid does it's best to draw back the attackers.

It's efforts are in vain.

The two remaining droids take their place under the teleport pad. A blue haze envelops them, followed by a layer of opaque energy. The bubble fades, and the droids are gone.

The rescue party are quick to persue.

The depart in a similar fasion to the Droids.

Elsewhere
Thornraxx chatters.
Red Droid: Translation: "We cannot let them get the Toa! Be ready! This is the final frontier!"

The attack is sudden.

Krode: Joints are fragile. So are the back of their heads, apparently.

Parah: Guys! You have very little idea of how happy I am to see you!
Thornraxx clicks furiously.
Red Droid: Translation: "Toa! You shall not take another step!"

Benu: Oh?

Would this help to change your mind?!

The blue droid grabs Parah and drags him back, it's blaster at his throat. Thornraxx laughs, and takes off.

It flies very close to Benu, guttering alien taunts.

...it returns to it's resting place.

Red Drone: Translation: "If you fire, then we will kill your friend! You would not kill your own brother, would you?"
Benu considers...

...and finally drops the gun.

Thornraxx chatters triumphantly.

Red Droid: Translation: "I thought not!"
Parah: Now!

With a sudden speed, Parah Jumps up. The blue droid clings on desparately as it is swept off of it's feet.

Parah runs over to the edge, and suddenly bows. The droid flies forward, into the chasm.

It topples to it's death.

Parah: Now that's sorted out, It's time to say your prayers!
Potu: PARAH! NOO!

Thornraxx chatters desparately.
Red Droid: Translation...

Parah fires the gun. It hits a delacate piece of aperation, and it exploads. Parah feels a hot rush as the fire nearly gets close enough to burn his face.

All that is left are the shattered remnents of the Mata droids.

Potu: You fool! You realise what you've done?!
Parah: Yeah, I realise...

...I've just killed a living creature; Thornraxx. I've just lost my title as a Toa!

Epilogue:

Long after the flames have died down, and the Toa had gone, two broken droids begin to stir.

They climb clumbsily to their feet.

The Gali droid looks around. It notices something in the wreakage.

It goes to pick up the silver chestplate of the Red droid.

It puts it on. And for the first time ever, it talks.

Gali Droid: Interesting... the gift of voice is inside the chestplate!

I shall find the second plate for you, Unit T. We shall then go off with our new-found knowledge...

...and create a whole new army of Mata Droids! We shall then become the most feared race of warriors in the universe!

Next Issue: Return of the Guardian

One more thing, I was wondering about something;
maybe I should actually do these like the classic style of comics, with the speech bubbles and stuff instead of the script version.

Here's two examples of what it would look like (taken from last issue)

Obviously it will take a little while for me to get used to it. And I'll enlarge the text if it is needed.

Tell me what you think ;)

Quoting Legobob [DragonMaster627] Nice. Bit of a problem for Parah then. As for the classic comic style, I think that the font would need to be bigger for it to be especially good, but not too big as to obstruct the finer details of the scene picture. Just my thoughts ;)
Thanks for the advice, dude! :D

Quoting Chronos Omega Nice chapter! Good use of accidental affects (disintegrate, etc.). Not a fan of the classic comic style, it's too hard to read. :P
glad to hear. If the problem was the sise of the text, then I can make the font bigger :3
