Autumn in the Park
About this creation
I have neither the desire nor the obligation to speak of my discoveries, for they are as bland as the strangers you encounter in your daily passing. I profess that I am a pawn of Fate and not so much as even a messenger, if such a role asserts any significance to warrant its existence in the impervious void. Staring into the vista before me, I witness the grinding motion of the cosmos, a vision that once drove me insane but now subdues me. As the truth once enveloped my sanity and the ensuing chaos dissipated in the stream of time, I am left behind as an empty carcass whose flesh has eroded so that not even the bottom feeders find interest to gnaw on what remains. I am content in my existence which you may find despairing, but for me there is no more I can ask for. The infinite peace I enjoy is beyond any na´ve blessing one may claim to possess. For without feeling, one comes to being with the cosmos, with eternity.

You can purchase Autumn in the Park as well as this adorable robot named Bluey from Creations for Charity. There's only 5 days left to buy an item from the store and help us raise money to buy Lego for underprivileged children this holiday season. We have raised over $7,000 so far. Help us finish strong!

I cant think of any words to describe this other than.....extravagant. The arangement of colors and contrasts between them is so....so....."Right"? I'm not sure. But your interpretation created into physical matter is more interesting than words can describe.I will leave you with 'fabulous'.

Seeing your works always inspires me to want to translate my own surrealist ideas into Lego. Very nice piece!

Lovecraft is a never drying up fountain of inspiration. I'm always exited to see how creative minds transform these ideas into new art. Wonderful work, Nannan.

Quoting matt rowntree I'm curious as to the process. Is this interpretation of a vision or defining abstraction of what was built? Wonderfully nihilistic, if that phrase is acceptable. I have to say my favorite part, aside from overall presence, is the crate-like base. The universe as construct to be later studied by TOP... MEN... Kudos to you on a masterwork of surrealism.
It's based off a mix between a vision and a quote from Lovecraft about the insignificance of mankind in context of the cosmos. The wooden base is a representation of a stage, where I see everything play out upon.

Your surrealist builds are always a lot of fun to admire and try to interpret, and this one is no different! Good stuff!

Rather beautiful, but then it would be... and very reasonably priced. I'm tempted.

I'm not really sure what it's supposed to be (maybe nothing, or everything?), but whatever it is, it is masterfully done. The angled platform and texture of the sand are both amazing, and the use of the planets is brilliant as well.

I could go into what parts of the MOC I like, and why, but you already know that. You built it. Meanwhile, I'll sit here and stare at it for a while more...

oh look, another insightful, beautiful, thoughtful comment from one of the most talented and surreal builders on MOCpages. What a surprise. 10/10. Really made me think. I wish more people put as much time and thought into their creations as you do, I feel like the site (and the medium) would have a much better reputation. Alas, we aren't all blessed with genius.
