The 4th incarnation of Captain Ahnee's nose-shaped spaceship.
About this creation
Thank you for checking out my Lego creation! This is the 4th incarnation of the Nasal Avenger, Captain Ahnee's distinctive nose-shaped spaceship. Unlike all prior versions, this Nasal Avenger finally has a viewable interior. I also made a few refinements to the wings, engines, and topside gun turret. I realized I had beefed up the visible weapons and it was impractical considering the type of ship. It seemed more sensible just to go with the defensive bubble turret and then hide the rest of the heavier weapons, like the rockets, heavy blasters, and space mines.

One very obvious change is finally despensing with the light gray train windshield for the control cabin. While I was reluctant to let that piece go, because I thought it gave the ship some character, it bugged me that it was gray. If it were tan then I would've left it alone. But then taking that windshield off was really the only way to move forward with creating a functional and viewable interior for the control cabin. With that also was the need to widen the upper deck to 8 studs since the Nasal Avenger's narrow 6-stud wide body limited the amount of interior detail I could add. The last part of the puzzle was the choice of the new windshield and the tan pieces to round out the nose chape. This actually ended up making the big tan nose more unified and defined as the front half of the ship.

The latest bubble turret is more decked out.

Rear view showing the revised engine configuration that goes back to the original tri-barrel design. While I liked the light-up engines, they added too much weight to the back end.

The new vertical stabilizers are larger and the whole thing rotates with the outboard engines when landing.

Underside view of the landing gear. I changed the rear landing gear to match the front and give a sturdier appearance consistent with a light freighter. In the middle is the hatch for the space mines (inside).

Interior detail of one of the engines. I put this on a 4 x 4 turntable so it could rotate open and closed.

Rear landing ramp.

Hidden cannons. While I like the design here, I may swap out the colors since the black is difficult to photograph.

Full interior view.

This is the ship dreamed by Cyrano de Bergerac... lol The colors'choices are still stunning. The improvements give a high value to this 4th version. I like your hard work to insert viewable interior. Beautiful work!! |

Love these! So, if there's a version 5, can I put in a request for sensor arrays that look like nose hair? |

Hello, Daniel and nice build by the way. I love how that you can make even something as funny as the Nasal avenger look awesome. Whatever happened to Captain Ahnee, anyway? Also, I always thought that the space craft should be piloted by those people from the old Afrin commercials, you know, the people with big noses for heads? By the way, if you have some time, do you mind checking out my new Vic Viper and giving me your thoughts on it, please? Thank you. |
