MIT Round 4: Garett Smith vs Justin Knelsen
Famous landmarks: The Taj Mahal, The Eiffle Tower, Big Ben, The Great Pyramid of Giza. Pick a famous landmark and show us your version of it. Microscale or minifig scale, it's up to you!
About this creation
Hello everyone this is my fourth entry into the 2012 MIT and the category is Famous Landmarks. This if you didn't already know is the
Kinkaku-ji (Temple of the Golden Pavilion) This was a very fun piece to design but also challenging at times. It is micro scale and I tried to use as many interesting pieces in the model as possible.

Here is a link to my opponents awesome entry

I would've liked to have this posted sooner but I had my Trimester final exams to study and prep for. But now that those are done with I have some free time again.

As always feel free to leave comments and suggestions. I wish good luck to my opponent and to the other people in the contest.
Till next time- Garett Smith

A really great build but I think your opponent beat you out on this one. Sorry man, time to hit the showers. ~ Chris.

A nicely detailed piece, especially at this scale. However, my vote goes to your opponent. You had a great run, but it ends here, unfortunately. Thanks for participating and making this MIT a good one!~H

This is a great entry with some accurate shaping all around. Your opponent really stepped it up a bit more, however. I vote for your opponent.

You have some really interesting building techniques here and overall the shape and design is superb. However my vote goes to your opponent. Top notch entry though and good luck with the rest of your judges.

Nicely done! Although I'd say this is certainly worthy of the official Lego Architecture Series, my vote goes to your opponent. His was a more technically difficult subject. Good luck with the other judges!
