Built simply because I found that the xpod could slide exactly over my new curved red pieces. (apologies for the terrible photos).

Quoting Senator Chinchilla .
Everyone else having said nice things about the canopy I'll agree with them and move on. The base is quite nice, retaining that Classic Space charm. The rear portion of the ship is quite good as well.
Whilst the cab was a happy fluke, the rear portion took quite a few attempts to work, glad you noticed. |

I'm with David, a Bab5 meets Classic Space. Awesome!
It's strange I never thought of Babylon 5 while I made this but now it's been mentioned its really very obvious. |

Certainly an ace build, love the shape of this. Good spot on the pod fitment, making a note of that ;) |

Great parts usage! I love the photos of the pilot and maintance crew with the Ace at its docking port. As always you have used new pieces and tried&true CS pieces in different colors, and yet its still keeps that CS feel! Nice! :) |

Glad you all like the canopy; I couldn't believe how perfect the fit was as I played around with some table scraps. |

A brilliant Babylon 5 Fury style spaceship. I like how you've done the styling/greebling with almost all authentic CS era parts. I own just 3 of the grey thruster things, so to see eight is amazing and the pods they're look good too. The dish antenna works well on the windscreen and the yellow engines are a good contrast with the red fuselage. As a child of the 70s & 80s who grew up on RAF stations, the other thing that immeadiately caught my eye was the spaceman with a moustache. Totally appropriate: it made me smile and reminded me of aircrew who lived near to us. Great work.
I have 14 I those thrusters in grey, and about the same again in black. Hard to work out which sets I had that produced such bounty. I'm glad you mention the
RAF and the military moustache, as I was certainly thinking heroic WWII fighter pilot when I built this. |

Cool! I also like the use of 'new' heads on the classic space bodies!

Love the figs! Fun CS all the way, are you and DR related?
I think we are roughly the same age, apart from that no. I must admit, this one has a little extra nod to his recent ships. |
