Tomorrow, November 22nd, will be the 86th annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.
When I think of the Parade 3 things come to mind: ginormous balloons, the Santa Float and Miracle on 34th Street.
This is my Lego version of the parade complete with the Santa float and Lego Man balloon
About this creation
Behind the scenes, unedited photos:
Lighting and Lego flashlight suspension setup
Size of vignette is 16x32 studs
Pin and Keychain have been removed from Lego flashlight. I used a soldering iron to remove the pin and a drill bit to clean the hole back up after the pin was removed
Closeup of Mr and Mrs Claus Float with four reindeer
Great building and photography skills! I like the sleigh, with Mr & Mrs Claus, plus the street light design. It's great to see that this was all done "for real". I thought that it was Photoshop from the thumbnail. I think that some of this is because there's so much detail going on in the micro-scale city, so it seems bigger than it really is. Excellent work!
Ton of detail packed in such a small MOC. Detail on the buildings, and even the different micro figures.
Hope for a real Macys Thanksgiving Day balloon minifigure one day :D
