The Green Gang
What happens when ZORK collects too many pieces of a particular colour? He makes a whole team, of course!
About this creation
Similiar to my Fire Team from two years ago, I built these guys just because I wanted to do something with all that lime green I got. I'd like to mention at this point that - unlike keetorange - I do like lime green as a colour for MOCs, the thing is just it's a very dominant colour in the TLG palette. And if you wonder why I still buy all these lime green sets it's because most of them are (both in terms of parts and design) pretty awesome. So here we are.

While I always inteded to make this a team, there where some huge gaps between building all four members of the Green Gang. The first one of them was built something like 3 or 4 months ago, the other four followed quite some time later.
Oh, by the way, pretty much all of them were in some way or the other inspired by various Transformers designs.

The Scout

This guy was mostly inspired by Dead End's and Breakdown's designs in Transformers - War for Cybertron, with all the spikes and such.

Aside from the greebles on the torso, he's pretty much straightforward.

A detail of his arm cannon.

And here's a look underneath his torso armour.

His back looks rather empty, but at least he looks more impressive from the front thanks to the Corroder Claws.

The Fly

Long time ago, I planned to build a fully transformable Waspinator, using Scorpio's head, but that didn't work so well. I guess that was the loose template for this guy (though he isn't a wasp). I built him... uhm... some time after the Scout.

Little Bug guy here got the most complex built from the bunch. His torso is one of those shields from the old villains with a fair load of balljoints and other stuff added to it.

His back. The wings are also on balljoints. You can also see his abdomen here. And yes, the leg design is from one of the Mistika sets.

A detail of the torso front. I know, it's not pretty, it's only here because of the joints.

The arms, complete with deadly claws. Poor little Waspy is the only member of the gang without firearms.

A detail of his back, with one of these cool connector things with two balljoints on one side.

Now to the abdomen! As I mentioned earlier, he isn't a wasp, so he didn't got a sting (mostly because I wanted to avoid that whole "Wasp Sting" theme). Building that thing was probably even more complex than building his torso, if my memory serves me right here.

There are lots of small Technic parts in it to make it look not empty.

The Rumbler

This guy was inspired by Rumble as he appears in the Aligned Continuity (to which the two games - War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, and the Prime cartoon belong to).
However, he's neither red or blue, he's obviously green.

He was quite a pain to build, mostly because of the torso (which still looks a bit dull, if you ask me).

My orignal idea for this guy was to build a small, strong character with huge, club-like fists. I eventually also put some cannons on them.

His back features Corroder Claws and the spine design from the "Crazy Guy" of the Fire Team.

The Corroder Claws are more flexible than on the Scout to grant his neck a wider range of movement.

The arm cannons. I'm still not totally happy with them, the design is somewhat unstable. But it was really hard and frustrating to get Stroniu's shoulders on there, and at some point I just wanted to finish this guy.

Another look at them.

The Big Guy

This guy was (especially in terms of equipment) heavily inspired by the Titan Class of the Multiplayer from Fall of Cybertron. For those who don't know, the Titans are the big guys with various heavy weapons, they also transform into tanks or (if you purchased the respective DLC) other large things, like dinosaurs or pretty big bugs). I built him shortly after finishing the Rumbler, and I really enjoyed to design this guy after the frustrating Rumbler (I don't know why, but when I built this guy, it seems just that everything fell into the right place from itself).

The acid cannon is clearly based on the designs from the FoC weaponry, mostly the Scrapmaker (dual cannons) and the Corrosive Slime Cannon (well, take a guess).

Yet another look at the cannon, showing the connection and the canisters (yeah, this cannon got perks!).

Now to his shield, which looks also quite menacing. The front is rather simple: Old shield-thing, Corroder Claws, and that's it.

The inner side is slightly more complex. Since I didn't had any spare lime hands left, I put a shell on there.

When I was almost done building him, I noticed that he hadn't any lime green on his torso. To fix this, he got a tiny lime Technic piece... on his crotch (it does however serves a purpose - it's connected to the armour on his back).

One thing I really like about him is how well the shield and the cannon work together. I hadn't even planned it.

His back is really, really simple, but it helps to give him some more mass here.

And that's the Green Gang. I'm once again sorry that it took me so long to upload them, but in addition to being lazy, I was also occupied with a myriad of other things.

Anyway, I hope you like these guys. Don't forget to comment them!
