This is a dual-controlled two-seater training Viper in which many young GAIA pilots gain their first viper hours under the watchful eyes of their instructor. This viper is the high-visibility version, so other space-users know to stay well clear of these novice pilots.

the ship is original, another color scheme than 'layered' might have made the lines shine best, but, the cockpit really impressed me, 2 figs side by side is quite cool! the last pic in dock is a dream! |

I think I like the hangar as much as the ship. It takes a lot of skill to build the background in proportion to the ship. Great job, man. |

Now Jon this is definitely a sweet ride and well detailed ship from front to back and left to right. Great colour contrasting. The editing is excellent. Well done. |

Just another reason why X-pods are the awesomest Lego elements ever! Seriously, excellent work with this; details like the thrusters and the seats really give this ship the "Oh my gosh!" factor.
Thanks Andre! The pods are fun - trying to think of other uses, but can't see past Vipers until December :/

Sweet build, that color scheme is groovy, man!
Cheers Cody, glad you liked it :)

Very great. This gets an "S" rank.
Also as many others have said, nice work on
the cockpit, good use of the pods.
Thanks Ian :)

Thanks Chris - those pods had been stashed away gathering dust, but seeing David Alexander Smith using them so well in his builds, had to try something :)

What pilot wouldn't take his woman for a ride?! Excellent build! The seats are a stand-alone work of engineering genius by themselves... not to mention the operational landing gear and solid execution! Great work, Jon.
Thanks Matt, appreciated - the seats were fiddly, but finally managed to get them to stay in place, clinging on by one stud :)

Phenomenal work! In addition to what I said on Flickr, I love the retractable landing gear. Also, I can't believe that you still have the hangar bay kicking around! Do all your creations stay together?
Cheers, have to have the landing gear. I can't build good stands, so it's the easy option! Most of my creations are still together, but not sure how long that will last - may have to start building in weird colours or something ;)

Thanks all, really enjoyed making this one :)

Beautiful, brilliant building. I love both the shape and colour scheme of this VV. I think that the rounded tailplanes work very well and the fuselage is amazing. The way that the two X-pods have been integrated and then the checkered section which turns into the nicely greebled engines is superb. Great seats too!
Cheers David, the pods worked out better than I thought, took a bit of pondering to work out how to fit it all together. I love your tagline btw, space needs brightening up sometimes :)

Wow, Jon. So much greatness to talk about here. I like this better than your last Viper for several reasons. First, I love the colors. Reminds me of something that David Roberts would come up with. I thought it was his at first. The dual cockpit is pure genius. Excellent use of the pods. And the pilots' chairs are among the best that I have seen. The single thruster in the back is one of my favorites by you. Some more top notch greebling in there as well. The CCTV shot gave me a chuckle, and the Viper looks fantastic in your hangar. Very well done, and I can't stress enough how nice it is to see you showing up on here again.
Thanks Tim, was a lot of fun to put this one together. I can tell you like a good interior from your latest masterpiece ;)

Loved that time stamp! 10012 indeed. And what a glorious hangar to put such sweet looking trainer in. And such a vibrant colour scheme. Brilliant, so that it is high-visible to any surrounding pro pilots. Dude, made my day.
Thought this one would make you chuckle, cheers mate ;)
Quoting Sergei illich
awesome, the design is really good but the colors could be better, like maybe a silver primary and a yellow secondary?
9.5/10 overall
Thanks Sergei, I'd take 9.5/10 any day! The colour choice was governed by the pods I had - one lime, one blue. Yellow is my favourite colour though, so watch this space ;) |

The twin xpod cab is great, but you knew I'd like that. The technique for getting the mini fig seats and controls to fit in the pod is one I'll log for a future build - always nice when you learn a new technique from someone else's build. Brilliant again!
Cheers David, and the pods are your fault - some of your builds got me thinking ;)
