A micro-scale rendition of a freighter in the neo-classic space universe.
About this creation
This microscale is intended for long-range transport.
Classic space is of course more than blue and grey. It's stripes, yellow windows, red position lights and nice round engines.
Add to that the mandatory greebling of today and you get a vessel that is well prepared for every load.
The ship uses (perhaps unsurprisingly) rims for drives and (perhaps not quite so common) window shutters for cargo bays.
The overall shape is quite common among space builders, mimicking the long hull and the rear bridge of todays cargo ships, with some asymmetry added that would not work well in water.
The model is about 22 studs long and contains 157 pieces. The LDD model is attached. As generally with complicated models, the auto-generated buidling instructions leave room for improvement.
Thanks a lot for your feedback! What's really a pity about the shutter construction is that they make this a shelf model that is completely unswooshable. I guess you would need a more solid frame beneath the shutters for that. But then the ship would loose the slim look so I decided against it.
Wow, that's a cool micro scale ship in neo classic design! The design is very functional, just as it has to be for a commercial ship. Color scheme and greebles are working really well, too. Great job! :-))
