Calvin and Hobbes
Based on the comic characters by Bill Watterson in miniland scale.
About this creation
This creation was also featured in the film, Dear Mr. Watterson, a documentary film directed by Joel Schroeder.

The basic design, though simple, took me awhile to figure out. I wanted them to be instantly recognizable. I think I did alright, although the legs on Hobbes makes him look rather "girlish."

Weeeee!!!

"Scientific Progress goes Boink!"

The Stalker

Spooked!

Calvin's dark side.

Honest opinions and comments are appreciated. Thank you.

Quoting Tim C Was that a transmogrifier that I saw in one of those shots there? What a great build. I don't believe there has ever been a better cartoonist than Watterson. I am a huge fan and think I have read every one he ever wrote. This is very well done. They are instantly recognizable, and I even recognize the scenes from certain strips. I love the stalker shot. Fantastic work.
Yes, that was. Glad you knew what it was! I appreciate your comment. Thanks. -LB Senior

Quoting Max Pointner This is spectacular! The scale that you built these at is perfect for the characters, and although stylized, they are instantly recognizable. The scenes are perfectly reminiscent of those which Waterson created, especially the crashed snowballs in your snow-fort pane. Great work here!

Quoting Joonmin Kweon I love this comic! This is very recognizable but I think the hobbes leg isn't that long. I mean, his body should be taller and the leg shorter. But still, this is very nice! 4/5

Quoting claw paradox very good! i think, though, that the front of Calvin's hair could be yellow minifig hands (they work well as spines on my deinonychus, though they are fragile.) still makes 5/5, though.
