Using the spiral stair pieces as flaps is genius. I need to find some creative use for those too. Great stuff as always!

Very cool! That color scheme really makes it for me. The only suggestion I have is that you cover the inverted studs on the inside of the front mandibles. You can do that by sticking a couple of Technic half-pins with studs inside, and then attaching some tiles to the studs. Keep on brickin'!
