OMS-001GX Gundam Serentiy
A Gundam-type Mobile Suit that is the star of my own Mobile Suit storyline/universe.
About this creation
This Gundam-type Mobile Suit was orignally designed to be the replacement semi-mass-produced Mobile Suit for Project SCION. Like the other weapon platforms used by the SCIONs, they are able to directly interface with the unit. Due to certain events that occurred during the uprising, only one was ever build, which was kept in a hidden storage facility for years. The Serenity.
Serenity is powered by a compact Dual-Core Nuclear Fission-Fusion Reactor. This type of reactor produces a near-limitless supply of energy, which enables the Gundam to use high-powered beam weaponry. The entire weapon system draws its energy directly from the Mobile Suit, instead of from energy packs (E-Packs, which are similar to standard magazines).

Armament:
Beam Carbine with under-mounted Beam Shotgun
Beam Rifle
2x Hyper Beam Sabers
4x Vulcan Cannons
2x Beam Anti-Missile Defense Systems

A storage container launches into the air. Onlookers stare in awe and curiosity as to what this object may contain.

The container separates into two pieces, revealing a Mobile Suit.

Free from storage, Serenity hovers in the air for a moment.

The wings spread, and the Hyper Beam Sabers are armed. Note: I did not want to do the classic "Wing Gundam Zero Custom" pose for two reasons. 1) It is overdone, and 2) I wanted to show off the flexibility of the wings. I reverse-engineered the wings from ccy 8086's Wing Gundam Zero Custom. However, I found that the main wings were too small for Serenity, and therefor made them much larger. And more flexible since they can flex in both directions.

Serenity as viewed from the front. The basic design came from Mithryl Altaire. I used Strike Freedom Gundam as a base for this Gundam. The legs and lower arms are redesigned and modified from Strike Freedom. The torso and shoulders are modified from Strike Gundam.

A rear view of Serenity. Notice that there are not only main thrusters on each wing assembly, but lots of smaller vernier thrusters as well. This attributes to Serenity not only being able of unassisted atmospheric flight, but also being the most maneuverable Mobile Suit in existence.

Serenity's head was inspired by Apocalypse Sin by Thomas Z. I chose to base my head on that design due to it looking very "knightly". Plus, the four-finned V-Fin design is always used by the most awesomsauceness Gundams EVAR!

The Beam Anti-Missle Defense System mounts on the shoulders. Although they do not possess adequate power output to be used offensively, they are very affective at eliminating incoming missiles and other equivalent munitions. Also seen are more vernier thrusters that are mounted on the shoulders.

A Beam Shield generator is mounted on each forearm.

The Beam Shield activated.

Leg vernier thrusters. As if Serenity did not have enough already.

Unlike most Mobile Suits, the Hyper Beam Sabers are mounted on the torso instead of the side skirts or a backpack unit.

The Hyper Beam Sabers drawn and armed. They are designated as "Hyper" for a reason.

Serenity's Beam Rifle is normally semi-automatic firing. It has a dual-folding "barrel extension" which concentrates the beam shot. The barrel extension can be used for either a highly-concentrated beam for long-range sniping, or to create a massive blast of mass destruction. Options, options...

The Beam Rifle mounts to the right side skirt armor.

The selective-fire Beam Carbine is the weapon of choice for mid- to close-range combat. It is small and compact enough (for a Mobile Suit, anyways) to be used in smaller confined spaces. The under-mounted Beam Shotgun is useful in CQC (Close-Quarters Combat) when drawing a Beam Saber is not feasible nor quick enough to eliminate the target(s).

The Beam Carbine mounts onto the left side skirt armor.

Both the Beam Carbine and Rifle are drawn, with the extended barrel on the Rifle shown at its full length.

A close-up of the Serenity's rear torso. The upper portion houses the reactor. The component on the lower torso is the 0-Shift. The 0-Shift works by first compressing space, then rapidly expanding it. This propels the object in the opposite direction a high velocity. Over relatively short distances, it gives the visual effect of instantly teleporting. I got the idea for this from Zone of the Enders.

The cockpit exterior. It is modified from the Strike Gundam.

The cockpit opens, revealing the pilot inside.

The pilot, who is a former SCION, went into hiding as a Mobile Suit mechanic at the facility where Serenity is stored. He placed himself there so he would be close to the Gundam, in case she was needed.

The SCION in his suit of personal body armor with his heavy assault rifle.

Serenity in action with both ranged beam weapons drawn.

MAND-E (Multipurpose Assistance Navigation Database - Enhanced) is the highly advanced Smart AI that resides in Serenity. She becomes more commonly known as "Mandy."

A nice parting shot (see what I did there?) for everyone. Serenity is showing the full power of the Beam Rifle.

Another view of the beam blast wave being fired from the Beam Rifle.

*Twitch's Remarks*
Many thanks to first and foremost Mithryl for his awesome Gundam and Mobile Suit designs. Without him, Serenity would not have been possible. Thanks also the Thomas Z. Your various MOCs have been very inspirational for not only this Gundam, but also for future projects. And to ccy 8086. Your Wing Gundam Custom Zero is the best one on MOCPages. I do not care what anyone else says.
This is really the second design of Serenity. I did not like how the first design came out, so I scrapped it. A few of the design ideas will make an appearance with Serenity's sister Gundam (oh my, there will be another Gundam? *gasp*). This was completed before I even began work on my Mobile Core units, but I wanted to wait on posting it. I cannot put my best creation out there first, now can I?

So, please rate and comment. Before you comment, please give it a rating first (this area can be found just below the main picture). I really want this to be my most popular MOC. Like, for-e-ver.

A little something for Mithryl:

Quoting Timothy Wallace Amazing TF! Though I haven't seen Gundam for awhile this looks Perfect!(to me anyways)
Thank you! I designed this to fit what I see as my personal fighting style: being quick and agile while having various armaments for close-, mid-, and long-range combat.

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 mech at it s finest! so impressive how you can fit a fig in those!
Thank you! Oddly enough, getting a minifig to fit exactly how I wanted it (with the special helmet and whatnot) and still be stable enough was perhaps the hardest part for me. Everything else (including the wings) was easy in comparison.

Thank you! Even though I have been doing a lot of train work recently, Serenity is still my favorite MOC that I have designed. You can expect to see more of her in the future.

Quoting Builder Allan Cool! Lots of nice details. I like the colours, black & blue looks great together that way :-)
Thanks! I am very pleased with how this turned out, despite what others may say about my color combination choice. I am certain that it will look better when I build it for real for realz.

Quoting Mithryl Altaire Hey man! Great job on this. Thanks for enabling the comments. As I mentioned before, I'm really liking the the design. I'll have a couple of new designs up soon that are a bit more workable than my old ones, so stay tuned over the next couple of months. My only real complaint about this model is that the color scheme makes it hard to make out all the fine details you incorporated into this. Something in a lighter color would be good, because something you worked this hard on should not go unappreciated. Keep it up!
I look forward to your new designs, they should be very exciting and awesome! I will definately "stay tuned". I know that most Gundams are lighter in color, especially the base color, but I wanted to go against the grain with this one. Even though this belongs to the "hero"/main protagonist, I still wanted it to look sinister and intimidating. Hence the black color. My future creations will be in lighter colors. What exactly, I have no clue yet. They are still on the drawing board. By drawing board, I mean they are still in the mental idea phase.

Quoting coden primeriddle awesome use of the blue transparent pieces the bast effects and MAND-E look awsome. please instructions!
Thank you, I will forward this to my Special Effects Department to let them know of a job well done. The most commonly known equivalent of MAND-E is Cortana from Halo. I will upload instructions only on one circumstance: admit that the wings are the best EVAR! Haha, just kidding. Instruction uploading is a WIP (Work In Progress).

Quoting Thomas Z. I like what you did here, a very nicely done mix! My only complaint would be that you should organise the color scheme a bit better. What I mean is, if you use red and white on the head, then try to color some smaller ares on the body as well with the same color, for example, you should color the thighs and perhaps the upper arm white and maybe a little red on the wings and legs. Aside from this, I think it's a nice design, and I'll be sure to look forward for the next one!
I intended for the color scheme to be very basic. I wanted to do something out of the ordinary since most Gundams have a white base with additional brighter colors, so I went to the opposite way. Black is obviously the color for awesome, and I chose blue highlights/detailing since that is my wife's favorite color. As for the head, I wanted to keep it as classic Gundam as I could with the colors. Practically all Gundams have the white face, red crest, red beard, and yellow V-Fin, so I wanted to keep that. Thank you for the feedback!
