The Tre Kronor class was a class of two light cruisers of the Swedish navy. They were the biggest ships to ever serve in the RSwN, at 9200 tons max deplacement. They were armed with seven semi-automatic 6-inch guns capable of 15 rpm. The two ships, the Tre Kronor and the Göta Lejon each got a misserably short career, entering service in 1947, the former being decommissioned in 1964, and the latter in 1970. The Göta Lejon was sold to Argentina in 1971, renamed Almirante Lattore. She was decommissioned from that service in 1984.
About this creation
To be a bit more exact, this is a portrayal of the HSwMS Göta Lejon as she looked in 1964, during her last year in active service. The armament is:
Seven(1x3, 2x2)152mm M/42
Four(4x1) 57mmm M/50B
12 40mm M/48
Note that the number of 40mm guns is not the exact same as in reality. You have to compromize at this scale.
This is a modell I'm very pleased with. I think I somehow managed to get the feeling of how the ship looked. It's also my first attempt at a ship with a SNOT hull. Hope you like it.
