I was invited to create a piece for an art auction about "cross over between art and food".
About this creation
It was easier said than done: as you all know, 1x1 plates in that light ("sand") green are taken out of production. So I had to use 1x1 tiles instead and build the watermelon upside down...

Sorry I am going to have to date myself or this comment will not make any sense! This took me back to the late 60's when the rage was to take artificial fruit and stud them with colored gems and art pins! That was my first impression when I saw this in my email! Hey Dirk if you have the time stop by and see my stuff!
