Greetings BioMOCists of MOCpages and welcome to another MOC presentation by me, Toa Likus!
About this creation
Today I will be showcasing some of my earliest MOCs to show you my history as a MOCist to give some insight on my past experience.
It all began the summer of 2010 when BIONICLE was in its final years. At that moment I stumbled upon an Indonesian Facebook group devoted to BIONICLE MOCs. Back then I had no prior knowledge of LEGO-hosting sites such as MOCpages, Flickr, DeviantArt, or BZPower, so it was a huge surprise coming across it. Anyway, the group was where a few great MOCists got their start and would eventually go on to form the Piece Out group about a year later. So without further adeu, here are some of my best MOCs from back then, starting from the smallest and moving on the the largest. Sit back and enjoy!
Here are some old tablescraps from way back. For those of you wondering, these guys were made well before the Stars release. They're pretty simple Metruan really but they do look cute.
Rawr! This was an extremely simple MOC that I made for the group. The only cool part is the head but it was actually pretty popular for a time.
...And it's the wolf on steroids! Don't know what happened to his feet but he really needs a makeover. Thank god the revamp completely blows this away. ^_^
It's Lewa Nuva in his space form that appeared in 2010's BIONICLESTORY.com serial. Toa's extremely basic, sans the Nuva chest armor of death. It looks a lot like Christo1096's Lewa Nuva revamp though it appeared nearly two years prior.
Now this is one that I actually like! Karzahni looks true to the official artwork though the Olisi isn't all that great...EPIC FLAMING CHAINS ftw!
Hey look it's Karzahni with a Piraka head! No, it's actually supposed to be famed Dark Huntress Lariska in all her smiling glory. Personally she looks too manly for comfort...
What do you get when you cross Skirmix with a pile of black and silver pieces? This MOC, which was supposed to be some sort of dinosaur.
Here's a decent one. I'd love to see someone make this with Hero Factory armor.
Piraka Star with a System-ified redesign. It was basically the first fusion I ever made. It may be simple, but it doesn't look too bad.
The System fusion design all over again with a chain sash.
This is Tridax the purple Makuta. It's the final MOC I used with the System-torso design and thankfully the last.
To coincide with the BZPower Tobduk contest I made the Rahkshi spear-wielding Order of Mata Nui member himself. He even has a dagger just like the official one.
Another BIONICLESTORY serial character which was the golden-skinned Skakdi creature. Those feet are a mess...
The Matoran Universe robot with clown shoes. This was my most popular MOC at one point but it pales in comparison to Railblade's version. Recently I have revamped this MOC and am planning on uploading it soon.
Here's my version of Artakha before his official color scheme was revealed to be sand green. He's almost entirely plageurized from Toa Mata Nui, which makes him more of a mod than a MOC.
The last MOC is a revamp of a revamp of the Takutanuva set. Its picture can be seen as the main image above. This takes everything from the Teridax revamp a step up and makes it my number one best 2010 MOC.
And that wraps up my original MOC collection from 2010. I hope you enjoyed them and if there was one that you especially liked, leave a comment below!
