VL-450 Super Vautour;
The VL-450 Super Vautour was a long range Strike bomber used by the Imperial Lego Air Force. The Imperial Lego Pilots loved this aircraft for its range, versatility and agility at low altitude.
Among other things, the plane was employed as an electronic warfare aircraft, target towing, reconnaissance, trainer and Wild Weasel.

The Super Vautour was a shoulder-wing monoplane with a 35° swept wing and a "flying" tail. Two V-210 Turbojet engines were carried in pods in the wings. It had bicycle-type landing gear, with the main units in the fore and aft fuselage and smaller stabilizing gear in the engine pods. The central fuselage carried a large 5.0 meter weapons bay and substantial internal fuel tankage.
Among other things, it had all the necessary systems needed to operate guided bombs and missiles, being capable of carrying four Titan ground attack missiles simultaneously.
The aircraft, after almost 50 years of fighting, was recently removed from service. It was based on the French Sud Aviation S.O. 4050 Vautour II, featuring more powerful engines, greater range and greater bomb load.

Air-to-ground missiles: 4 D.D.N. anti-ship missiles; 8 AT-2009 Imperium anti-tank missiles; 12 AT-2040 Vulcan air-to-ground tactical missiles; 2 LG-1000 munitions dispensers missiles; 2-4 AT-1500 Titan heavy air-to-ground tactical missiles;
Bombs: 12 Excalibur Anti-runway bombs; 2-4 Valhalla Television-guided glide bombs;
Various unguided and Cluster bombs, Laser-guided bombs, Napalm, as well as tactical termo-nuclear bombs.
Other: ECM protection pod, Pave Spike Laser designator pod, Buddy refuelling pack or 5 Drop tanks for extended range/loitering time;

Yes, they can. The smaller stabilizing gear retracts inside the engine pods, the main rear gear retracts inside the bomb bay without problem. The front gear is a problem, because it“s too big to retract under the cockpit. Therefore, it can retract inside the bomb bay. |
