Here is my better late than never Halloween MOC. The MOC Olympics took up all my time and crucial pieces, so I had to delay this build. Oddly Dracula's victim looks strangely like Cyndi Lauper ?

Wow, those figures are really well-done; the faces are especially intricate! The Cyndi Lauper line made me laugh, too... "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" does wear on ya after a couple listens... ;-) |

I love the builds here. Very well done. I do feel that our damsel in distress could use a tad thinner of shoulders, but beyond that, I am stunned with your works here. Well done David. :)
She's an 80's damsel, everyone had big shoulders back then - or was that just their jackets? Anyway I take your point, you're not the only one to note some of the issues with her arms/shoulders, and I hope to rectify this on my next build at this scale. |

You could get yourself in a whole lot of trouble if you say that in a Transylvanian accent! Thanks Chris. |

excellent! but the lady's arms looks wrong
Hmm, could be right, to thin at the shoulder and funny wrists (mental note for the next build). Thanks for the advice Tim :) |

For a minute there I missread your comment about 80s prom movie, and thought really! Thanks for the comments. I'm really enjoying working at this scale, expect more soon.
HA! That gave me a good chuckle, David. A real treat for me right now as I sit staring at the TV and biting my fingernails over the results of this unbearably close election. Thanks for that. I should have included that I was thinking more Molly Ringwald than Cyndi Lauper. But your LEGO lady would have had to look a lot different if I meant the other thing;)
Molly Ringwald, now I know where you are coming from. Hope the election turned out how you wanted - I was smiling drinking my coffee this morning.

A wonderful creation, with the lovely lady's neck temptingly bared and her seemingly unaware of the peril behind her. The Count is a classic Dracula, with his slick haircut, opera cape and flashing fangs. I like the way that you've made the ruffles down Dracula's shirtfront and Cyndi's necklace. You've got a real knack for sculpting figures in this style. On the downside, I'm afraid that this is a bit less scary than Radio 4's recent adaptation!
Just started listening to the Radio 4 version, and I see what you mean. I have a couple of new large scale figure builds to come yet.

You, sir, are stuck in awesome mode right now. Another great build. Dracula looks perfect. I especially like your color choices. The pale skin with the striking contrast of the black suit and cape and the red eyes and mouth really grabs the attention. It was funny that you said Cyndi Lauper, because my first thought when I saw the Count's victim was that he was hunting in an 80's prom movie;) She is formed perfectly as well and the whole thing has the caricature look that I've come to really enjoy in your work. Well done, as always, David.

Wonderful stuff, I see your creativity hasn't diminished at all! Real character in these, and some clever brickwork to get the features just right. I'll look through all your MOCs I've missed during my work related break - quite a lot of catching up to do I see :) Fangs for another lovely MOC!
Thanks Jon, and I meant it when I said its good to see you back. If you do feel like looking backwards, I'd just check out my recent MOC Olympics builds which I'm most proud of. Otherwise you'll be here all week :) |

Wonderfully creepy. I really enjoy the fact that you can use basic bricks so well to achieve expression. Great job.
Thanks Tyler, my moot s never eat the bricks you have stop you making the MOC you want. I think Dracula's face and out very well, and the basic bricks enhanced the gaunt expression. |
